Problem with IP addresses on two networks

Hi,
I have a wired network between my four computers in my house. I have installed another network card into one of the computers (not the host), to allow me to use a 50ft cross over cable, to use xbox live on the bottom floor of my house. when i try to enable the sharing of the internet connection, I am told that Inernet sharing cannot be enabled due to an IP address conflict. It says thatthe host must be configured to use the IP address 192.168.0.1 and that i must ensure that that IP address is not being used on another client on the network.
The problem is another computer is set as a host of the wired network using the above IP address, so the second cross over will not allow the pc with the new network card to use that IP address. Does anyone know anyway around this, or anyway to change the default IP address?
Thanks
Jonny

See Internet Connection Sharing here and here.
Note that:- The ICS server computer should have two network connections (not necessarily two NICs): one for the internet and one for the local area network.
- Only enable ICS on the server computer.
- ICS gives the server computer IP address 192.168.0.1. TCP/IP settings of the other computers should be set to obtain IP address and DNS address automatically.

HI jonnymeldrum,
The problem that you are having is that you are technically running two networks.
The IP 192.168.0.1 is the incoming gateway for the PC that you are trying to run the second network to share the Internet connection to your Xbox.
The best way to do this -- is deginate your second network card to use the IP address 10.0.0.1 and the within network connections select the two networks and ask it to bridge them. This will form a NAT router (software) between the two networks and hopefully -- it will work.
Otherwise as Chippy_Minton says -- a router will do the job perfectly -- connect the PC's and Xbox to the router directly.
Let me know -- how you get on0 -
HI intel-- yes ZA will not support ICS as a freebie0

Hi, here is the setup of the two networks:

As the crossover cable can't be used from the router, I need to use the crossover cable from the computer with the two network cards to the xbox. When i try to share the internet connection to the xbox it won't let me as it says the ip address must be 192.168.0.1 and this ip address is being used by the computer receiving the connection from the adsl modem. Is there any way of changing the default ip address so the ip address doesn't have to be 192.168.1.1.

By the way I don't have Zone Alarm0
