Unused email account has sent loads of emails out!!

I have a hotmail account that I haven't used for ages. Just logged in it today to look for something and 'I've' sent loads of emails out!! And had a vacation reply on!!

I'm with McAfee and have run a full scan but nothing is showing - what should I do??? The emails stem back from Feb:eek: :eek: :eek:

How do you access your emails? Via the web or a mail client such as Outlook?

Change the password on a clean computer and don't log in till you know the computer is clean.

Thanks for the advice.

I access my emails via the web and by a 'clean computer', what do you mean? I've scanned with McAfee but nothing showing.

Would you suggest a spyware scan and if so, which one?

Malwarebytes http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php download,install,update,quick scan, remove everything it finds and post the logfile back here.

No it will post you operating system and if it found any infected files.

Nothing has been found was the password easy? Download hijackthis http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/ install,open and press Do a system and save a logfile it will open in notepad It may contain the account name.

Looks clean again :rolleyes: your java is very old though, download and install the latest java then download javara Download Windows Binary (.zip file)
Unzip and open javara select a language and press remove old versions.
