Loch Fyne were opening near me and I sent them a nice e-mail asking if they would be open in time for OH birthday.

They invited me plus 3 guests along to the opening night where they were training staff - we had he run of the menu for free with us paying for drinks and a donation per head for RNLI. We had a great time even if foodie queen Lol managed to shove the drinks bill up to around £60.00.
  • "Loch Fyne", right? Cairndow is on the edge of Loch Fyne. Right?
I can`t use the voucher there, as indicated.
Strange....perhaps this is to recover some of the money Scotland gets calculated by the Barnet Formula?....lol.
Well, i suppose , whenever i pass by the restaurant i`ll just have to save a tenner by eating all the samples on offer in the shop (wonderful place) and using the toilet facilities.

I was looking on MSE for special offers as we're hoping to go to Loch Fyne tomorrow evening. I clicked to the Loch Fyne website and noticed a "£10 gift voucher when you register". Sure enough, within a few minutes, a voucher has arrived in my Inbox.

    The conditions are
    1) Sunday to Friday
    2) valid to 30 June 2009
    3) valid with 2 or more main courses from the a la carte menu
    4) not in conjunction with any other offer
    5) not at Cairndow

Obviously, I may now receive hourly emails from Loch Fyne. If that's the case, or I find the voucher doesn't work as expected, I'll report back.

I have only visited the original Loch Fyne at Cairndow. I can't blame them for exluding the use of the vouchers there TBH. It is hugely popular and they don't need to entice people in to that one with discounts. It would be nice - but I can see why they don't!

Loch Fyne usually have bargain two course meals. They may only be early evening but they usually include Saturdays.
  • For what it's worth, Loch Fyne was one of my favourite restaurants, somewhere to go for a real treat. Everything I'd ever had there was fantastic, until last time - I ordered dishes I'd had before off the special lunch menu, but both the starter and the main were different and really disappointing - the pate had changed and was horrid, and the chips with the main course seemed like pre-frozen ones. This was the Knutsford branch and I don't think I'll go again for a while.

This date has now been renewed and I printed off a voucher last week so one main course was effectively free. Brilliant.

  • You can download the voucher in pdf format without signing up to the newsletter at the following address www. lochfyne . com /assets/TenPoundsJune09.aspx (I can't post links)
Despite the filename, it's valid until 31st October 2009 (excludes Saturdays)
Great food at a half-decent price. Recommended for a special occasion.

We have eaten several times at the Bath Loch Fyne with vouchers & without & it has always been great. The staff are exceptional & should be commended for their hard work & politeness.
We've also been given money off vouchers from them which offers either a carafe of house wine(the white is super!)or a 2 course lunch with a glass of wine. You can't use both vouchers on the same visit though!Cheers!
