Hmmm, having done a quick web search (unable to post links due to my 'new member' status), it seems that quite a few people have posted on various forums / review sites regarding the difficulties they have had getting their money back from pizza hut and the poor customer service they have received from Pizza Hut customers services / head office when pursuing complaints.
Again I'll keep you up to date with my progress.0 -
I have just tried to order online pizza & sides for over £40 and for some reason it would not take the code. So, I rang my nearest Pizza Hut Delivery, which is Aylsham Road in Norwich, they said they are having problems with the code & I can order via phone. So, they started to take my address, they then said they do not deliver to us!!! We live under 2 miles from them, so I queried it. A man told me yes they do deliver to us but we are as far as they would go as they would not keep their customers happy if they delivered any further!!!!! I was bemused by this, very small radius for delivery. Anyway we then progressed to place the order, the guy asked me twice for my address, I gave it to him, I then said about the 50% offer, his reply 'It is only valid online not via phone' I advised him that it was not what it stated online & the lady before him on the phone said it would be acceptable. He then said 'Well OK then' Then once again he asked me where I lived??? Even though Id already said this twice!! I then proceeded to tell him we would not bother anymore due to them seeming so unrealible & un efficient I would rather spend my money elsewhere!! He then said 'Thank you very much' & ended the call.
Our advice is STAY WELL CLEAR OF PIZZA HUT ON AYLSHAM ROAD IN NORWICH!!!!!! I would not trust them one bit & in this current climate you would think they would do their upmost to keep custom, not put people off!!! Poor on Pizza Hut!!!
In the end we have decided to go for KFC, will spend less & food is yummy!! If you want Pizza, stick with Domino's or just go buy a decent one from the supermarket, will save you money & time in the long run!!0 -
I've used the TERFPO1ZL code 3 or 4 times ordering online for collection at my local PizzaHut Delivery and never had an issue. I've included desserts and drinks in my orders too to get above the £30 threshold and never been questioned. My local PHD staff are always friendly and helpful - the chap behind the desk offered to help me to my car last time as I struggled out the door with my huge meal and two bottles of juice rolling off the top.
Seems to me like its all down to the personnel in each of the shops whether you have a good experience or not.0 -
The Heaton branch just point-blank refused to accept this code, either online or over the phone - and cost themselves £35 of business in the process0

I'm a big fan of 50% off codes.:D
We don't order from PH as often as from Dominos because OH doesn't like PH pizzas as much, but I have noticed that the last three times we've ordered, they've forgotten to bring dips, the pizzas haven't been hot on arrival and most recently, they forgot to make our order up, so it arrived an hour late. OH complains that PH are very stingy with the toppings. It doesn't bother me, but I must admit, they are far less generous than Dominos. (But they are cheaper - you get what you pay for?)
We were offered a special voucher yesterday, which I note, did not turn up with the delivery as promised. Did not surprise me.
Ordinarily, I would complain at the service, but given that I'm already getting 50% off, it doesn't feel right. I guess I regard the 50% as not only being a discount on the food, but also the service!0 -
used the 50% code yesterday with no probs online yesterday. I guess its just the luck of location as to when the code works or not plus the t&c0

I placed my order online and when I received my order I was disgusted. There were at least three hairs present. The first hair I thought it may have been a herb so I did not highlight this to my family as I did now want to ruin the meal for everyone. However after finding a second hair I noticed my partner had also stopped eating as she had also found a hair in the pizza. After eating half of the stuffed crust Pizza we decided we would make a complaint to the branch in question. I was put onto the manager who offered to send a replacement pizza out, but now I was no longer hungary so declined this offer. he then tried to claim that what I was seeing in front of me was not infact hair butmaterial from the boxes they use. I asked him what will be done in this situation and all of a sudden the phone disconnected. After eventually getting through to the manager again he said said we could have a refund for the stuffed crust pizza and said someone would bring our money and collect the offending pizza shortly. On arrival the delivery man made a point of examining the pizza in front of me. I invited him in as it dark and also showed him some hair on the side of my plate as he did not seem convinced. He refunded me for part of my takeaway and took away the offending pizza but no apologies were made by the manager or the delivery man and I was made to feel a nuisance. This is certainly not what I expect when ordering from such a large company as Pizza Hut and based on my experience and the lack of customer care I will not be ordering again. I will also think twice before visiting our local restaurant through fear that hygiene standards are not adhered to. I felt it would have been fair that I was given a full refund as we left other parts of the meal because we were just so horrifed.0

I spent about 30 minutes, wasting my time trying to order from the website for Pizza Hut, it let me do it but kept on failing at the end.
Then I called the store, and they said that the code was not valid, so I would have to pay full price.
I think this should be removed from the money saving tip as it's a complete waste of time.0 -
I would like to say that not all Pizza Huts can be classed as the same, but it does get frustrating when customers call and demand discounts that do not apply to some stores. There are Delivery Stores and Dine-In Restaurants and contrary to belief not all Pizza Hut stores deliver, but they all do take-away collection. Codes on this site are for specific stores at specific times and should be read carefully before use, yes sometimes things go wrong just like any business but they do there best to fix it.
My store stopped deilvery 3 years ago but I still get people phoning up for them as they think that all Pizza Huts should deliver. We have lots of codes at any one time and all the staff are briefed on the applicable ones at that time, I have 3 delivery units within a mile of my restaurant so you can see how people get confused sometimes. We love constructive feedback as we use it to make ourselves better and more competitive.
