Pizza Hut Delivery Vouchers Discussion

I used them recently purely because we have vouchers for 50% off £30 or more (code: MBH6985PF until Sunday 31st May if anyone wants to risk it). The pizza's were terrible - really greasy.
Think I will stick to Papa Johns - best dough in my opinion and £9.99 for the XXXL size for pick ups!0 -
This 50% sounds like a good offer but not the ONLY one going around at the moment and you do NOT have to order online.
Currently Pizza Hut are flooding the market (Local Papers, leafleting etc) with a bunch of discount labels.
The RED on BLACK labels offer the following:
* £10 off for £25 spend
* Free 2nd Pizza with a large pizza and any side (so order two
large deep pan pizza's and a side of Nachos for a total under £17).
* Free Desserts with certain combinations of Pizza and Side orders
* £15.99 Cheesy bites or Stuffed Crust Pizza with Garlic bread
or wedges and 1 side order or a bottle of drink.
The above expire on 31st May BUT they have another set of labels that expire on 31st July that are WHITE on RED (in a temrinator menu leaflet), these offer:
* Free Pizza when you buy any other Pizza at full menu price, this is for collection or get it delivered free if you add a side order (lowest price Pizza is free) So order two large deep pan pizza's for £13.99 or two large thin crust pizzas for £12.99.
* 50% off when you spend £30 or more online (exludes drinks or ice cream)
*Free individual Pasta (usually £4.99), Side or Desert when you order any large pizza.
* £7.99 feast for 1 (any Pizza Mia, classic side or chilli Co.Cake plus a can - not available online).
Personally I never order online because the soonest delivery time is 1 hour. I prefer to call my local branch and order what I want and collect it within 15 minutes. Until Pizza Hut can offer the same service online they should abandon online ordering as it just frustrates customers. After all if you decide you want a Pizza it is because you are hungry now and don't have time to cook. If I had an hour I could knock up any family typical meal for a fiver or less.
If you want any of these labels just drop into any delivery only Pizza Hut and ask for them.
If you don't have any labels and you are ready to order, go in, peruse the menu and say "are these your best offers" they may bluff you and say "yes" so you then say "I have some vouchers at home where I could get two large deep pan pizzas and a side for under £17". They may ask you for the vouchers and you just say "it is too far to go back home now, can you do that deal or not". I did this and the guy said "no", so I started to walk out mumbling "for this much money I can get a chinese" and he said "hold on" he gave me a bunch of leaflets and tore one of the labels off (there are three of each offer in each strip).
If you go in during the day they will give you the labels freely, if you go at busy times they may not be so keen.
So you don't have to get £30 of food (for £15) and wait an hour for delivery. The £30 offer sounds good but it excludes desserts/drinks and so this leaves sides which can cost up to £3.49.
For example if you order 1 Large Terminator Pizza & 1 Large Super Supreme @ 12.99 each that is £25.98 plus £1 more each if you want Deep Pan, so £27.98, add a Garlic Bread for £1.99 and your total is 29.97 (NOT ENOUGH) so you need to order a side that costs £2.99 or more than one side. So if you add a Nachos (instead of Garlic Bread) for £2.99 and you have a total of £30.97 and pay £15.49.
I find Pizza Hut quality variable from the same branch, they often get mean with the olives or forget that the super supreme has peppers. You can avoid this by saying "Last time you did not put any peppers can you please make sure all ingredients are used this time".
Pizza Hut may not be the best but they are SO much better (and cheaper) than Dominos who are always too wet and much cheaper than Pizza Express.
All this talk of Pizza is getting me hungry, now where did I put those labels! Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -

I like them too, how is your weight! Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -
Never really enjoyed pizza hut, always a little to gresy and cheap for me. Got forced into getting one the other day nothing has changed , rude. Im sorry but given the choice i would use Domnios any day, only problem is they are expensive if you dont have a offer (top tip say you work for the NHS and you get 50% off , i have never been asked for id) or just order from your local takeaway
Interesting how we all have different experiences, I have tried Dominos several times and they are always too wet, not sure if they use frozen bases or if freezer is too cold but I get the same in different branches.
Pizza Hut can be greasy, I always collect mine and stick them in the oven on a little kitchen paper. Fact is Pizza is a junk food and cheese is greasy, low fat cheese has little taste.
The whole point of these offers is to save money on something you were going to buy anyway. It is like the offers in the supermarket, ignore them unless you can make them part of your typical usage.
For example if you regularly buy mango juice and they have 2 for 1 on mango juice and you consume it in a week it is not a good offer, you have to be able to make it last two weeks. Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -
I wll never use pizza hut again - EVER!
Delivery drivers are rude and unhelpful, food is poor quality, and often cold when delivered (and that's WITH the codes off moneysavingexpert! ) - would not pay full price ever.
Once had a delivery when the driver refused to come to my door one evening, after having a shower and changed into my dressing gown. He expected me to get dressed again whilst my food was going cold, and go out 400 yards up the road to collect my family's meal (over £30 worth too!). Thus i sent it back to the shop as i wanted my pizza DELIVERED NOT COLLECTED (i didn't want to pick it up!).
It took three months of wrangling with RUDE and UNHELPFUL staff at both the branch and head office to get my money back as i ordered online and paid by card. I then ordered DOMINOES PIZZA using the codes on here (of course!), the food was hot, driver polite and delivered promptly without issue. - well done Dominoes! :T
AVOID PIZZA HUT DELIVERY AT ALL COSTS!:mad::mad:
They have a spot on the box, if it is pink the pizza is hot if grey you don't pay. I would have just told them to get lost if they would not deliver to my door, but I prefer to collect anyway. Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -
I will never use Pizza Hut again either. I tried all the codes and so did my friend and son from other addresses and none of them worked. They were both from your forum and from an email directly sent to me from Pizza Hut. I have used them lots of times but this was awful. I phoned and complained to my local branch to be fobbed off by the Manger Sanjay from the Wimborne Rad Winton Bournemouth branch. he was rude and refused to help. He wanted me to ring another number in London to complian! I have told them that the advert was false and untrue and tomorrow I will be reporting them to the Office of fair Trading as thew ad was complaetly false. I have also emailed them so I will let you know the reply!!! So hope!.
By the way I have had cold pizza forget the grey spot they refused to honour that promise as well and the last time my son had one it was unedible. I will never be tempted to use them again whatever the false offer.0 -

the confusion comes because pizza hut has two types of stores - delivery and dine in (who also do takeout but virtually all of them stopped delivering a year or two ago)
These codes are for the delivery stores only - if you store has dine in tables then you cannot use the codes. However if you call a dine in store and speak to the manager (especially if you call midweek or a hot saturday night!) you may be able to haggle or certain deals (e.g. the sky BOGOF) they are told to manually honour.
The haggle is completely unofficial and dependant on the manager - we tend not to unless you are quite insistant as we don't want to get a reputation as being a big discounter and we don't have a lot of competiton but this varies in different stores.
If not to be honest these discounts work out about the same as the fixed deals or you can always get 25% off a 19.99 spend0 -
Hi
Can anyone tell me where to enter the code when placing an order via the website. I got all the way through registration and was about to enter my card details... still couldn't see an option to enter the code.0 -
You can only use the code when you choose a Delivery only store, it appears in the basket, see image below0
