The voucher link here http://www.telegraph.co.uk/promotions/6282773/Dont-miss--your-50-per-cent-off-Zizzi-voucher.html isn't working. Shame, we want to go to the Meadowhall one on Tuesday. If it could be fixed in time that would be great! Will PM MSE Deborah too

  • We went last week to the Finchley Road 02 centre branch with the 2 courses for £10 offer - I was surprised to find out that included in the available starters was the Antipasto Zizzi platter for two to share (£10) so we had that then each had pasta (£10 each) then shared the apple crumble (£5.25) - again which is on the menu as big enough to share - all in all for £20 had £35 worth of food so were well pleased (and stuffed!!!!)
  • The January Buy One get one for £1 says valid for max 2 people. But does this mean I can print more vouchers (or my friends can) and in, say, a party of 6, we can use 3 vouchers?

We did the 2 courses for £10 offer recently in the Cardiff Zizi. Food was really good,- limited menu, but for a tenner each, not complaining!
Couple ot things bothered me though. The waitress kept asking us if we wanted, more drinks, when we had barely finished the one we had,- also
asked us twice if we wanted extras/side dishes,- we did'nt!
This is obviously a ploy to get people to spend more when they have a voucher!
Found this really annoying, and was about to tell the waitress next time she asked that if i wanted anything then I would ask, and please not to bother us again!!
Had the same experience recently in Bristol in Las iguagnas, when we used a similar discount voucher for two courses.
Does anyone else find this?? Find it really annoying, and any restaurant owners/waiting staff out there, pleas take note, it is completley counter-productice, and annoying to boot!
    There rant over.

Whoops.... Got my pizza joints mixed up. We have been to zizzis a few times, last time was St Catherine's dock in London and it was great,- paid full price.
DD 9 preferred it to Pizza Express and wants to go back!
it was actually Prezzo where we had the odd experience. Not sure we would go back!

I don't think it is just because you have a voucher- it is what they have to do to all customers. There are a number of things waiting staff have to do like that, and upselling wine, and checking back in the middle of themeal that are requirements of the job and so they are told to do it, rather than targetting you imo

Ok so i work for one of these pizza chains but to me less is more.In italy pizza,s have the minimum of toppings... its a very simple dish in italy. The classic margaurita in italy has just a smidgen of cheese on top of a base of tom puree and some basil leaves, lovely. We had an italian chef cook us one of his own once,it was lovely and minimulistic.... just the flavour coming through not loads of gloop

  • My partner and I went to Zizzi's in Brighton for lunch. It was busy and we were seated at a central table, where I was nudged every time anyone went past, which was frequently. When a table for 2 next to a window became available I wanted to move to it, but was told I could not. I asked why and was told it was reserved. This seemed doubtful to me; no-one came to that table for quite a long time, there was no 'reserved' sign, and the waiter seemed to grab that reason out of thin air - not convincing. When a couple did come in and were seated at that table, they appeared to just come in off the street. I asked them and they had NOT reserved the table. My partner is black. Could that be the reason we were not allowed to move to a better table?!!
