Zizzi Vouchers Discussion

  • Voucher not valid?
I had commented on how busy it was in zizzis on thursday night in Derby. I wondered if it was because of the 50% vouchers. I also commented on how the service had improved since the last time we were there. Anyway, despite having been told there was no problem having a voucher at the start of the meal, at the end the manager said the printed voucher was not valid as it says on the bottom photocopies are not accepted. They had loads of trouble with "this voucher from that money saving website" but I argued and got my 50% as the voucher had come from the Telegraph website. The waitress then "forgot" to deduct the 50% from the credit card machine. The couple next to us showed me they had the same voucher, so they probably had the same discussion. They must still make a profit charging £3.85 for a couple of bits of bread to start and with beer at nearly £6 per pint. Having angry words did spoil the night a little, I wonder how many people won't go back because of their experiences with this "promotion"?

Hi, Went to Zizzi Liverpool last week and had no problem using the voucher. It was etremley bust and we had to wait nearly 40 mins for our table
There was 4 of us dining and they reduced the whole bill. Can't praise it enough, we all had a delicious meal.
  • We used our vouchers last night - I guess there's only a day left to use them now (Sun 31 May), but thought I'd post anyway!

No problems at all - there were a lot of other people with the same vouchers (google "zizzi offers", there's a dedicated site with the vouchers). We asked as we were ordering (to avoid any problems at the end) and the waitress confirmed all our main courses were covered by the deal.

Hi, we went to the Bournemouth Zizzi last night - booked for 8 pm.

    Our experience.
It was pretty busy and is a nice restuarant once you are in there. It also has a decent sized outdoor space for any smokers.

I had the Pesce risotto which I enjoyed. It was nice, light, relatively healthy I think and the prawns in it were delicious.

My partner had the Chicken and mushroom with pancetta - I think - pasta. They enjoyed it but not as much as Prezzo which is their favourite restuarant.

We had a bottle of the house white which was pretty good compared to the Prezzo house we had. This cost £12.95 in Zizzi whilst in Prezzo it was about £16 and tasted like paint stripper!!

For £23 including 2 mains and a bottle of wine it wasn't bad value at all.

Apparently their pizzas are really nice and will be going back to try them on the 2 for a tenner.

My dish was nice but not worth £11.95.

I think all the 2 for 1 deals are very good but the true prices you should be paying.

At full prices they are a rip off - you have been warned!!!:o
  • We had a great night at Zizzi in Liverpool One. We have just joined Moneysaving and have signed up to the free cinema tickets too.

We went to watch Adventureland at Liverpool Odeon in Liverpool One which was free. A great film. We then went for dinner afterwards at Zizzi which is 3 doors down.

My husband had Pizza and I had Penne Della Casa. It was quiet. The food was gorgeous - it came out really quickly and the staff were great - at least three of them asked if the food was ok. I was really pleased with my pasta dish though - it had loads of chicken in it - fresh roast chicken too. We used the second meal for a pound deal which is on here now.

We have another free film to watch this Tuesday and will be back again.

The whole evening cost us £13.80!!

    Thanks Moneysaving!:T
  • Went to Zizzi's in Kenilworth, big sign outside saying BOGOF, went in and ordered and was told offers didn't apply on Fridays.
Ordered garlic bread starter, very dry hardly any garlic, at least we had an apology and weren't charged.
My pizza was almost bereft of topping, bought better ones from Tesco at £1.99, never again.
  • Anyone been to the new Zizzi in Winchester? The building looks amazing but haven't been to Zizzi before so not sure about the food.

Got family coming down this weekend and was thinking of using the voucher I found on here or the local paper also have an offer for free starter/pudding with the main.

Not sure if it would be good for Sunday lunch (couple of kids in tow too) or to stick to the tried and tested local for a roast!
  • I have used both the Haywards Heath and the Brighton Zizzi's. Both good. My favourite meal is the pasta dish with artichoke (do you ever bother to do artichoke at home?) followed by the pudding that is like bread pudding and has cinnamon ice cream added to it. Absolutely yummy. Have a feeling that cinnamon ice cream was one of the flavours developed on a particular series of "The Apprentice" and it was done at a Sussex dairy. The Haywards Heath branch is probably the nicest building as it is old church but the Brighton one is about as central as you could get being in the Laines. Nice wines as well. I like Nero D'Avola if you like really inky black reds.
  • Recommend the pasta with artichoke (who bothers to do artichoke at home so treat yourself) and then the bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream - yummy, yummy. Both Haywards Heath and Brighton have nice branches, HH being in an old church and Brighton being in the Laines - very central.:T

Whoops, sorry, thought I'd lost my first comment but I hadn't
