GBK Vouchers Discussion

I've been registered with the GBK Gang for a while, and got my vouchers straight away... Maybe I was just lucky!
As for the restaurants and food, I've got to comment that many of my friends and I love the place, especially with the vouchers. Decent sized burger, made from some quality beef and actually cooked on a grill there and then, as opposed to microwaved like in most pubs, personally think it's a nice quick meal out for not much money.
Spoony's beer and a burger is cheaper, but not the same quality, and I say that as someone who loves to take advantage of 'em! Compared to Tootsies and the like GBK generally gives you more bang for your buck. All depends on what sort of meal you are looking for.
The fries are on the expensive side, and the charge for cheese is silly, but if you have a blue cheese or chilli or satay instead you pay a similar price as a cheesburger, but get it smoothered in a good sauce...
I sound like a burger geek here, possibly because I am.0 -
went today and even with the 2 for 1 voucher i dont think a burger is worth that much!!!
not really value at all... better with macs or burger king..0 -
anyone know where the voucher has gone? there is only 1 for the free beer.0

We used the Burger and drink for £6.95 voucher last weekend in York. First time weve been to one and with the voucher it seemed good value given a Milkshake is £3.95 and a beer £3.60.
Have to say when the burgers came we both looked at each other and laughed. The description says something like 'prime beef, tomato and salad'. We sort of thought the salad would be on the side but salad means a couple of leaves within the burger itself.
The burgers are about the size of a single Mcdonalds burger and I have to say despite all the description trumpeting the quality of the ingredients we both found them decidedly average. We both left hungry and will not be returning, with or without a burger.
I cant see how this chain survives to be honest.0 -
Well I've just been to the Birmingham Mailbox branch and the burger was amazing (I tried the New Zealand one with the egg and pineapple). Very impressed, loads of salad/tomato and the chips were lovely and nice to get one of them free.
Bizarre operation though, you get waitress service for the drink but have to go to the counter to pay up front for the rest of it. Odd.0 -
Oh my lordy, I am amazed that so many of you have had problems and been disappointed! I looooooove GBK, and usually go to the Oxford branch. The burgers are massive and I have never yet managed to eat a full one. Same with the milkshakes, they're huge, you get the milkshake served in a big silver (metal) milkshake jug and then you get a glass to decant it into, I usually get 3 glasses of milkshake from the one jug.
Went to GBK in Dublin recently with a friend as well, and we had a great time and both really enjoyed our burgers - although, with no voucher, it was expensive
No, they are not a cheap chain, but to be able to order a burger cooked to your own tase (rare, med-rare etc) and the quality of ingredients and size of the burgers, I feel they are well worth what you get - if you use them with a voucher.0 -
GBK are great, and they offer 5 different vege burgers too
Always use a voucher......0 -
The latest GBK voucher is only valid Mondays to Thursdays!
That's no good for me. I don't live near to any so can only go to one at weekends if I happen to be in a town or city that has one.
Gotta have a voucher, I'm not paying for full price (especially when a bottle of wine is £15)......0 -
is that the one that expires tomorrow because we were going to use it for our first meal out when we arrive in London?0
