Does anyone know if you can use more than 2 4 1 voucher i.e. if there are 6 of us, can we use 3 vouchers?

    Thanks!

I don't see why not - which voucher do you mean? Doesn't it specify on the voucher?

  • I wasnt very impressed with Pizza Express TBH. I found the quality of food sub-standard. We used Tesco vouchers a few months ago. I had the chicken caesar salad...yuk!...OH had the spicy pizza and DD had a pepperoni pizza...the stretched one to 14".

It would have cost over £60 if we hadnt had the vouchers and I found that quite shocking! OH & I go to a lovely restaurant that serves fresh, organic, wholesome food and we can get 2 courses, wine and a coffee for £25 easily, but it is on there lunch deal.

I have eaten in many nice/posh places and had been told by different people that Pizza Express was a lovely place to eat, so I changed the vouchers.

When I sent a complaint letter in, they were very good and sent vouchers out which we gave to a friend that loves it there and he gave us vouchers for somewhere else that we do like.

Never again!...sorry, maybe we just had a bad one??

Yes, it is treated as cash and can be used with ANY special offer, including Clubcard tokens.

I used two Pizza Express vouchers on a group of us yesterday. The pizza prices were very reasonable with the discounts (from around £8 down to £4 each) but everything else was very expensive.

The cheapest wine was £4.10 for a small glass, £3.40 for a very small lager and most deserts were £4+.

The food was alright, but the pizza was incredibly thin and the topping wasn't very well spread out - something that we all commented on. They didn't even cut the pizza for you and the knives provided were absolutely useless!

So be careful, they drag you in with the good value pizza offer but everything else is expensive and they stick a service charge on your bill (didn't see whether this was stated on the menu or not?)

One thing- we tried to book to go tonight at 4 different Pizza Express Restaurants in Coventry and Warwickshire- they were all chock a block due to this offer. Do book ahead!

Pizza Express never has cut up pizzas - personally I prefer to do it myself and there is a bit of a campaign going on about the knives.

Sounds like you're not a regular. I've never had a big problem with their prices, apart from salads, which are overpriced pretty much everywhere. As for the the service charge for tables of 8 or more, yes it is stated on the menus, but it's just to simplify the "tipping" for larger parties and is much fairer (and probably a lower % than most people would tip anyway). If you are not satisfied with any aspect of the service, you don't have to pay it.
