    Hey guys.

I have a letter from the garage, that reads as follows:

"Please contact myself with a suitable time and date when it will be convenient for you to come to the showroom to discuss your concerns in greater depth. Please bring with you all paperork from 2006 as well as your signed finance documents. I am sure we will reach a satisfactory outcome for you."

This is unexpected, as I thought I would receive either:

    1) a letter claiming no wrongdoing
    2) an offer

What do I do, do I go in as per the letter, or do I write back saying a meeting is unacceptable, please pay up in full?

    Thanks everyone!

Hi There I woud go in there is no harm in it. Just be strong in yourself and do not give in to any pressure. It would be quicker to get it sorted at this level than to take it further.

    Good Luck

    Hi everybody,

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, I'm just really concerned.

I was mis-sold insurance on a finance deal for a car. I've sent the first stage letter as per this website, and the company has rung me up to say that the person who sold it has left and there is no proof I didn't want the insurance.

Is this just scare tactics, and do I go ahead with stage 2 letter?

Thanks everyone, really appreciate any help.

Direct your thoughts to the lender and not the dealer.
That way there are no escape tunnels.
I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

However, I have since seen the light.
