Hi everyone - it's Friday (yippee!) and I have done the weekly shop. The plan is as follows:

today - spicy tomato lentil soup and French bread
sat - barbecue (I hope), now defrosting previously marinaded veal chops and home grown maize in fridge. Will add a salad and maybe chicken wings.
sun - mushroom and cheese ragout on tomato macaroni
mon - tajine from freezer and couscous
tues - chick pea, spinach & potato curry with rice
wed - chicken, avocado, bacon & blue cheese salad
thur - HM tex mex pizza
fri - pasta with salmon, peas & broccoli
sat - out for dinner with DH and both my (visiting) brothers
sun - either brunch (extended full breakfast) or lunch (couscous with meatballs) depending on timing of cycling event - feeding brothers before their departure
    mon - chinese chicken soup

best wishes to all of you for a splendid week!

    Thu - galette au chou

Hi angelnikki - would you share the recipe for this? I still have some chou in the garden (January King), and that could be rather nice. Is the galette a buckwheat one?

    thanks a lot

    Ch.

This week in no particular order (as I haven't labelled any of my freezer bags )

    lentil bolognaise & spaghetti
    chickpea curry & rice
    3 bean chilli& rice
    veggie sausage hotpot & mash
chickpea & bean stew & mash
    veggie burgers, wedges & beans
    veggie sausages, mash, peas gravy

Breakfasts are toast & vegemite/nut butter, muesli & rice milk, fruit
Lunches of bagels & nut butter/soup/bean pate on crackers

    fruit & nuts for snacks.

Mr S is the world's fussiest meat eater so he sorts himself out. He'll probably eat chicken/sausages/steak pie/mince and/or bacon most days (without any veg exceot mushy peas or any potatoes bar waffles). I've given up trying to make him healthier he's worse than a kid.

Ready for week 3 of meal planning now. Last week didn't go quite according to plan but I still didn't waste or buy anything different so, as newlywed already said, it was more an adapted menu than a failed one:p

Saturday - Chicken Tikka Masala (chicken from freezer, masala in a tin, potatoes heading for the bin and tons of onion
Sunday - Haven't planned anything in the hope DH and DS have a trick or two up their sleeves
Monday - HM Burgers (in buns) with fries and salad
Tuesday - HM Mac & Cheese
Wednesday - Spaghetti Carbonara with bacon and mushrooms
Thursday - mince and doughballs (freezer)
Friday - Extra Special Chiplolatas, chips and onion & balsamic chutney

Now, that looks like a plan :T Have a good week
