absolute TRASH! for all you know the item is damaged and only noticed when opened! the packaging could be perfect but once opened everything damaged.

I cant see your company lasting long with that attitude!

BTW u do not sign for its 'condition' u sign to state u received the parcel!

Actually you do. I know when I sign for parcels I check the state and sign for accordingly or not at all.

9 years and counting. Still on the up.

You do indeed sign to say you received but most (and note most) couriers have a condition note.

BY parcel I meant packaging. SOrry if this was not clear.
Of course there is a comeback if the item iside is damaged.
However the OP was discussing packaging, so naturally I assumed that everyone was too!
  • I am a courier with another company and I'll give you a few facts:
    • Amazon's packaging is not that great, they're renowned for using insufficent amounts of tape! I tape up on average 5 of their parcels daily!
    • Thousands of parcels leave Amazon daily, they're loaded onto a truck then to a hub then to another truck and then eventually to the local depot, there will be somewhere in the region of 3000 parcels in a truck. Other parcels will be loaded on top, underneath and to the side etc.
    • If you are not happy with the way the package upon receipt simply sign it unchecked, YOU ARE NOT LEGALLY ENTITLED TO OPEN A PARCEL UNLESS IT HAS BEEN SIGNED FOR, as it remains the property of the carrier until signed for.
