I've just applied for the sainsbury's internet saver online - wasn't asked if I was BR, and at the end it has given me a sort code and account number so can I assume it's okay? Or have others got to this point whilst undischarged, only to have it taken away again?

    Cheers!

When I applied for one a while back (before discharge) I got to that point, later got a letter asking for my discharge certificate before the account would go active.

They wont activate the account while your undischarged...I had to send copies of my discharge paperwork (as waspy said) before they would take the account any further

After discharge, they asked for my certificate of discharge - sent them the OR letter I asked for; they accepted that.

Sainsbury did tell me that the account can still have money put into it, but they would not be able to release the funds until the discharge certificate arrived.

You'll know whats what as once you are able to set up the online bits for the account it tells you that the account is awaiting authorisation next to the balance bit; if this is the case then a letter is en-route about the discharge certificate.
