I'm making a large document. It's up to 470 pages so far and ther'e more to be added (100?).
Word has started to not respond and get stuck. This is v unusual because I'm on a mac.
Is there a limit to document size in word? It is about 2.1 mb so far

There obviously is a limit but it's much more than 2.1Mb! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Like Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3.... and save them like that?0 -

I would prefer that... and I have done it as well, but for some reason I'm advised to do it like this to print

So I was working on a separate document (with the big one open in the background) and when I tried to cut and paste something I had a message, 'you have insufficient memory. save document now'

This could be the reason your getting problems in the first place you may need more RAM although Mac's are good some times they need a bit of maintenace too
If it doesn't fit, force it; if it breaks, it needed replacement anywaySarcasm helps keep you from telling people what you really think of them
