Sony Erricson C905 problem - help please!
I cant use the c button on my Sony Erricson C905 mobile tonight - the back button works but not the c key the one I use to go back a letter on texting!
It does not seem stuck or caught on anything.
Really worried now as Its a contract one taken out in Jan from CPW and not insured. If I go there they will see me coming and worried Il have to have it sent off and they will charge for repair when it might be something simple?
Anyone any ideas what to try? I do text lots so really stuck now:o
Thanks in advance

I've had the same problem with mine except it was the direction keypad that went stiff when pressing down.i got mine frm cpw with no insurance.they sent it off for repair and i got it back 1wk later. Its a free of charge repair under the warranty.
HTH:rolleyes: :rolleyes:0 -
Thanks will try CPW see what they say.
Il try ringing Sony Erricson too I guess, but am worried Il have to take it to somewhere miles away or send it away and I need a phone! Would have to get all my photos off there too and video as they might restore factory settings or send a new one?
Will ask in phone shop in town tomorrow just in case they can help out, but it does not look jammed so thinking it wont be easy to fix?
Wonder if they lend another phone whilst a phone is sent off for repair if needed?
Need to get this fixed before my Easter hols:rolleyes:Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Asked in the small CPW in town today - they said I need to go to an express repair centre and it could be fixed in 2 days. Il have to work out how to put all the contact numbers/photos/video on the memory card and take that out it wont hurt if Its wiped.
Will ring the Birmingham one see how busy they are tomorrow as could get it to Brum or Worcester if it fixable in a day but if 2 days Il go to a nearer one as easier to collect.
They have said the loan phone needs £50 cash deposit and will be very basic:rolleyes: might see if parents will lend me one of theirs save hassle of a loan phone and leaving the deposit.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Have you turned it off then back on again?.....0

Is it insured? If yes then CPW will fix it, if not I believe they'll have to send it to a Sony Ericsson repair center to be repaired under warranty, and I don't believe Sony do 'express repair centers'
I had a problem with mine, sent it off and it took two weeks to be returned, only problem was they hadn't repaired it at all, so it had to be send back again. I was without my phone for over a month in total.
Out of interest, have you tried updating the firmware via Sony's update service, might be worth a go in case it's software, not hardware related.Sigless0 -
Thanks will try that.
When I asked today they said I had insurance on it - now I did take out geek squad as I was going away to London and wanted the insurance for a short while and cancelled the contract within 14 days, Its not gone out of the bank so was cancelled but maybe not been updated on the system?
Typically I cant get CPW to answer their phone as the shop said Sats are really busy. I think Il take it to my nearest express store - Merry Hill centre on Mon as will be quieter then and will be easy to pick up from there.
I emailed SE - they say to send it off and that their turnaround is 5-10 days.
Will try my luck at CPW express repairs first, if that fails Il go via SE.
Im not sure what firmware is but will have a look at the website see what I can do.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Have dropped my phone off at the nearest CPW express store today - said it will be on average 3 days, unless parts are needed. No loan phone available manager said they were not worth loaning anyway! So ive put Sim in my last phone and that one works sim in Mums old phone.
All free just hope its sorted soon, he said sending it via SE would be at least a month!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.
