my missus went to have her hair done at toni n guy as usual. she ttok our 2yr old as with her that day and at the end of the cut she asked for a few snips of our daughters hair. to cut a long story short they charged her the full amount for the little ones hair and she had to srgue with them to halve it. a couple of snips of a toddlers hair = £20!!! would have been £40 if they had got their way.0

This is why I *always* check the price with the hairdresser in advance...I've had some ridiculous quotes in my time, inlcuding ones for £120+ for a cut and colour in Saks or Tony and Guy...no way am I paying that!
I'm a Uni student, and when I'm at home with my parents I go to a fantastic hairdresser who offers a variety of free drinks and charges me about £70 for a cut and colour - it's not cheap, but I'm always pleased with the results, and in the past she has also styled my hair for free.
Lately at Uni I had my hair coloured at the local college...was only about £10, and the results are okay (not brilliant and may get it done again, but don't regret spending the money) but it took *hours* and the girl didn't seem hugely confident and kept moaning about how she felt she'd failed her assessment as she'd taken too long to apply the colour.0
