Week's supply of Pedigree Joint Care+ and money off coupons

  • Hi All

I want to give a word of warning about the Pedigree Joint Care+ freebie. I ordered the 6 week trial for my Kookerhondje and a friend for her Lancashire Heeler. The free supply is based on breed and size so our treats were for different strengths to reflect the different weight of each dog.

Both dogs were violently sick after having 2 treats over a 2day period. Decided to let my friend use my supply for the lower dose but again the same thing happened.

Both dogs usually have no trouble at all with traditional treats and chews so we were mystified as to why they should both vomit.

Sent an email to Pedigree but all they could suggest is that we keep giving the treats until the dogs got 'use to them'.

Now I dont know about all you other dog lovers but there is no way I will allow my pet to endure constant vomiting in the hope that they will adjust to what they are being given and then get the benefit! I think Pedigree are using this '6 week freebie' (which is actually 2 weeks and then money off vouchers for the remainder) as a way to use our dogs to experiment and test their product to see what the results are overall.

Would like to know if any others have had 'sicky' dogs as a result of the trial.

  • Our pooch with the bad joints doesn't like the treats, our other ate them instead, but I've used the £1 vouchers at Mr Ts off our groceries inc dog food, so she's still on to a winner. :D thanks OP.

Sorry the 2 dogs were ill ladybear. Didn't apply for the treats myself, even though I posted the link, as we don't have a dog! So far nobody has posted that their dog had a bad reaction. Could it maybe have been that it wasn't the treats that caused them to be sick, perhaps it came from another source the dogs had been in contact with? Even if it was the treats though, don't think Pedigree should've suggested you keep giving them to the dogs.
