    Hasn't come out here yet, H :o

Pity, because I need to cut the grass - but it's too wet.

Numpty - how come you only have to wait until next month for your appointment with the 'Rapid ' Response Team.
They told me that it would be a minimum of six months - if I was lucky. :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Morning everyone. :hello: :hello: :hello:

    Congratulations :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

No, seriously, numpt - I had been, religiously, signing on for about three months and, when they confirmed that I was not eligible for JSA, I asked what specific help they could give me in actually finding work - I did 'mention' that I was less than happy with the service, in that direction, that I was receiving and their response was twofold - I was told that I could make a complaint if I was unhappy with their level of 'service?' (she even handed me a copy of their complaints procedure. Secondly, I was told that I could have a meeting with their 'review specialist' but this was unlikely to be within six months. Hence my skepticism.

Good luck with yours though, numpt - 'a month is a long time in unemployment'.

I am glad that I no longer have anything to do with the job centre - I was unemployed from August 2007 to April 2009, job help zero, help into work with a con woman - great, I sure did make a complaint about that. They didnt like me at the jobcentre I could tell - one day I dared to ask to sign on early that day and was then told that I had to see a woman upstairs the next time as it was obvious that I couldnt keep appointments and that I would be late for interviews - needless to say when the nincompoop woman kept me waiting for half an hour I went ballistic:rotfl: I get the feeling with the staff at the jobcentre is that they are incapable of being employed anywhere else:rolleyes:

The sun is out here and my washing is drying nicely. I have also been using the bleach that Tesco Home Panels sent me:cool:

A feeling, I am sure, that is shared by many who have had the displeasure of trying to avail of the 'service' that they claim to offer.

I am not having a good day  :
    • The Lawnmower 'died' on me after I had cut half of the lawn.
    • The 'hand push' lawnmower is completely siezed up.
    • My wife called me from Tesco to say that she had left her debit card at home, so I had to find it and cycle into Tescos.
    • Whilst I was out, the cats ate the Corned Beef sandwich that I had prepared for my lunch.
    • I missed the F1 qualifying
    • AND
    • I have to get ready to go to do a shift at ASDA

Please don't tell me that 'there is always somebody worse off than me'. _pale_ _pale_

Have a good afternoon, everybody.

    BUMP (rant warning)

Grrr -Stupid online bingo scratchcard site. I want to withdraw my money, but since last withdrawal my card has changed (as inevitably happens from time to time) but I can't change the card while I have a balance in the account.
So I had to phone the helpline and speak to someone who has never stepped on an ounce of english soil who can't help (dubious use of the term 'helpline' I feel) but will escalate my problem to the payments team. I'm not holding my breath .

I know they want me to gamble the money away so the account is zero but that aint happening - its my free money and I'm having it!

    BUMP

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

    Lest we forget.
