Rog - if you have constipation, try eating some prunes or having some burnt toast:D

I don't have constipation thanks - H. If I did, the rhubarb would have taken are of it - hence my comment. ;)

    afternoon all,

have packed DD s case & it's well under weight which is handy as I reckon mine will be well over .

Have already checked in - dead keen :D & we are learning all about store cupboard challenge eating. DD had ice cream for breakfast ( in case it went off in the freezer while we're away :rotfl:) I had plums & lunch is ham, tomatoes & hula hoops. Could get used to this :D

Could someone please tell my wife that you are allowed to put sugar in with rhubarb when making rhubarb crumble.

And some in the custard would also be acceptable.

Yes indeed, standard ratio is 2 parts rhubarb to one part sugar, but whatever floats your boat really. As long as you have some sugar to take the edge off the sourness and to help break the rhubarb down in cooking.

Sugar in rhubarb is a necessity and proper custard also has sugar in it - easier to use Birds Instant....

    Hello All

Well done on keeping the bumping up yesterday Rog, good job Asda didn't call else we'd have dropped down to page 6 or something!

I spent 6hours shopping yesterday and hated most of it. I think I have done more shopping the last 2months than ever before, luckily I am mostly tromping round shops not finding anything much, so at least it isn't costing me too much (and yesterday I told myself before I left the house that I wasn't allowed back in if I bought any more shoes - and thankfully I managed to be strict with myself! I'd need a bigger house soon if I buy anymore - I now have them encroaching in all 3 bedrooms).

Then I went out socialising yesterday evening (vodka helped me feel social) and today I have been visiting relatives and eating too much (partly from politeness and partly from last nights alcohol )

So haven't managed a bump all weekend - still this seems to be a stupidly mammoth message to make up for it.

If anyone is still reading not scanning then I hope everyone is well (and PS apple & blackcurrant crumble is best, and sweeter)

Have a good hollibob Lula and DD
