    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

I am hoping that there are no poorly piggies too.

Well I have had an afternoon of it - a friend emailed me and asked me not to contact her after I had dared make a comment about a cat (it had died of cancer but its owners let it suffer rather than doing the right thing by it:mad:), I was accused of being an animal hater and having no compassion especially as I hadnt rung or texted to see if her daughter was ok (the cat isnt their's btw it belonged to someone else). Needless to say I took the hint and have removed all trace of this woman from my computer, my mobile (my bills will be a lot cheaper now:j) and other place where we were friends. I have enough carp going on in my life without all this nonsense - do I feel sad about the loss of our friendship funnily enough I don't I feel energised and elated instead:j What I did object to really was the fact that I was accused of hating animals and not pandering to the daughter - pets die, get over it, if she is going to be a vet then she needs to get used to that idea:rolleyes:

Sounds like a stressed out ex-friend and you certainly don't need any more of that kind of baggage in your life!

I have enough stress of my own, I don't want to carry anyone elses. Still its a new day tomorrow:D

Have just looked out of the window and the sky is looking a bit heavier so I wouldnt be surprised if we had a storm tonight, we have been promised rain for tomorrow and the fact that it will be cooler at 25 degrees during the day instead of 32:D

Anyway, I wonder how Numpty is doing with his new book? Has he cooked anything yet?

I keep having to dangle my feet under a cold shower to cool them down a bit:D

An 'apologetic' bump from me - I'm not about much at all at the moment, but haven't (nor dare I) forgotten the thread. :embarasse :o :embarasse

    Hope everyone is well.
