Welcome back rog - we missed you. Hope you are ok?

Thanks H - and everyone - just needed a bit of time to try and sort out some 'personal stuff'. Am still working on it, so if you don't see much of me don't worry - no need to send out the search parties - I remain as committed (probably should be :rotfl:) as ever to the board. :T:A:T

On the weather front - this heat has 'taken its toll' literally - we have 'lost' two of our chickens to the heat and the remaining 'girl' is understandably, as we are, distressed.

I can take the heat - I love the sun - but this has been just oppressive.:mad:

We did have rain throughout the night and it's a lot cooler today, but the damage is done, and I must, now, look for two more 'chooks' to re-establish the 'pecking order'.

I didn't realise how much I missed the reverend Clio's weather forecast - if he had forecast a heat wave, none of this would have happened. ;)

I notice, with a 'reserved' degree of pleasure, that the Government is now turning its attention towards the way that Credit Card Companies are 'behaving unfairly', especially in the way that they 'fleece' their customers by 'whacking up interest rates and increasing credit limits without permission':

:(Aww Rog, sorry to hear about the hens :grouphug:, very distressing.
Hope you can find her some new friends soon.

Hope other stuff is okay too.

Numpty - to celebrate your new DFD date (is 2230 not sooner than you previously thought :p) you could cook yourself a real meal.

Sorry to hear about the chooks rog - I hope you manage to find the old gal some new friends for her to boss about. Good luck with the personal stuff too.

The reverend clio has vanished off the face of the earth (guess he must still be bogged down in glastonbury mud:rotfl:).

Re your credit card Numpty - you will get there in the end, its a pity you can't chase up the varmint who fleeced you in the first place (you know the old broiler that you were talking about earlier...or was that the immersion heater? :confused:I can't quite remember:rolleyes:)

The rain has stopped and it is now pleasantly warm as opposed to being oppressively humid.
