Hi everybody.
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes
P

Forgot to say I had some news yesterday - I was expecting that I would have to start paying my council tax again but when I rang up the council they told me that it had been paid because they have continued with the housing and council tax benefit:j Plus I am already £165.47 in credit so they are going to arrange to send that back to me:cool:

Leccy bill wasn't to bad only owe £13.98;)
Think its time to change suppliers, but I'm not to sure about the DD lark:mad:
Numpty Hun, in your current situation, DD may not be a good idea....they give you extra off because...they hope to charge you more monthly than you'll owe and therefore they get to keep your cash and earn interest on it before they pay it back (ie they will debit the next bill after you've given them a meter reading but only after a few months). You;ll have to weigh it up against the immediate cash back (if it IS immediate ???)....and maybe ring the suppliers and ask them what monthly payment they'd expect...before you apply..

Thats what I mean Wol about the DD things
I dropped my payments to £55 a month
Going buy the comparision sites probably could be £40 a month
but with these companies more like £70 a month, or a good few months fighting to get the payments at a reasonable levelPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT NERD #869Numpty,Not sure why but I'm crying. Of all the peeps on this board you're the kindest & most supportive of all & I'm  &

Doesn't matter which company you get your energy from, they can all be thieving bustards sometimes! I mean, as soon as someone sneezes in Saudi oil and energy costs shoot up, but as soon as prices fall, do they pass it on to the end customer? Do they heck! One life - your life - live it!0
