Aw Numpty - just do em slowly and methodically and stop for a break before they give you brain melt. Remember what you tell others they can't have money you don't have.:grouphug:

Ange - do you ever sleep?! Hope the bad dreams don't come back tonight.

Re Apprentice -can you believe that Deborah was only 23?!! I thought she was at least 10years older. Not sure who I'd choose to win now.

Right off to vote on the way to work.

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

You should all give yourselves a clap on the backs. My brother's just been taken to hospital because of goading, bullying, harassment from some on this thread. But I shouldn't for one second any of you would even admit to doing any wrong. Too easy. You attack and label people very cruelly yet are as bad as the people you label incorrectly.

So, just to say, hope some of you are satisfied with all the goading and where it's now led.

Seems you don't return loyalty, bite the hand that helps you first sign of any trouble.
And that people who supported you in the past quickly get forgotten when a gang gathers and people just start laying into someone without fully appreciating the person behind the persecution, nor what actually may be going on. No, you just lay right in, fists flying and people get hurt.

You really have no idea what you have done to a very kind, very generous human being. Nor would I imagine you even have the conscience to even consider how wrong your actions are.

So consider these things (if you have the faculties) before you start labelling people incorrectly. Too much to ask, though.

Morning all - got up 6am voted at 7.05am and am ready to go out to my event.

As for the Apprentice - I also hadnt realised that Debra was only 23 but what shocked me more than anything was the fact that Lorraine is only 36 and yet she looks as old than me (I would have said around 49-50:eek:)

Do you think they have done enough 'trialling' of the diary board by now. I assume its not be re-merged but maybe they don't want to remove the trial bit in case it brings it to our attention again.

    BUMP-A-BUMP.

In case any of us were in any doubt Cartiphilus has confimed he is linked to Merlin in a post last night.

My brother's just been taken to hospital because of goading, bullying, harassment from some on this thread. But I shouldn't for one second any of you would even admit to doing any wrong. Too easy. You attack and label people very cruelly yet are as bad as the people you label incorrectly.

At the end of the day, Cartiphilus, this is an INTERNET CHAT FORUM.

NOBODY is forced to post on here, nor, indeed, to read any of the posts or threads on here.

This forum embraces, and tackles, probably one of the most difficult problems that anyone ever has to face in their lives - that of 'Debt' and its consequences. These consequences often include, not only verbal, but often physical, abuse from a totally uncaring 'industry' whose only concern is to 'collect' money. The 'methods' employed by many of these 'people' openly flaunt the Guidelines, Regulations and Legislation which is laid down in an attempt to ensure that the practice of collecting genuine and enforceable debt is carried out in a civilised manner which respects the circumstances of both creditor and debtor.

As a result of the often illegal, at best bullying, tactics of the burgeoning, and highly lucrative, 'Debt Collection Industry' many people who turn to forums such as this for advice and support are at their most vulnerable.

For these people, this forum can be, and often is, a 'haven'. It can direct posters to the information, and help, that the scavengers of the 'Debt Collection Industry' would, otherwise, be doing their utmost to steer them away from as it could impact upon the level of 'greed driven profit' that can, all too easily, be creamed off of the misfortune of debtors.

Once a debtor is aware of his/her legal rights, then forums such as this can support them in 'dealing with their debt', fairly and legally, rather than compounding their problems by yielding to the demands of one 'bully' over another.

This forum is successful, and, because of its success, is a thorn in the flesh of those who see 'debt' as simply a way to make 'an easy buck'. It is, therefore, not at all surprising, that these people will install their 'Trolls' on this board in order to discredit advice given and to deliberately mislead already vulnerable debtors by their often vitriolic postings.

This particular thread was started, by pania, as a result of one such 'Troll' invasion, with the sole purpose of warning posters, particularily new posters, of the possibility of such incidents, and to advise them what to do if they were affected.

The thread DOES NOT, nor has it ever done so, 'goad, bully or harass' anyone. The thread, itself, has been subjected to attacks by 'Trolls' yet has retained the dignity to deal with such attacks in a dignified, yet decisive, manner, so, please, do not, even for one moment, accuse this thread, or any of its regular posters, of any involvement in any illness, real or implied, suffered by your brother.

    Well put Rog.

    Time for another bump.

Also quicjk question whilst I'm bumping- do people have Quidco money paid via Paypal or Bacs? I somehow had the idea that I could only have Bacs if I had more than £50 but I've looked on site and it doesn't seem to be the case. So is there any drawback to having it by Bacs?
