  • I'm jealous that he got to go on Countdown..but would hesitate to put rude word down as it may get reported for abuse!
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Congrats Martin on being on Countdown - will look forward to May programmes. Can I just recommend going as an audience member to see Countdown - it's a brilliant morning/afternoon out and it's free apart from the cost of getting there!
I took my Mum as a birthday present and we had a fantastic time.

Does anybody else remember the episode of "a bit of Fry and Laurie" wher they spoofed countdown and got the right letters to make the word Sloblock, as in a steaming pile of. Would that be the word Martin found do you think?

I think the letters can also be used to make a word from a Sex Pistols album title meaning Priests.;)

I may have to start watching again, at least that week! I appeared on Countdown a decade or so ago and got an 8-letter rude word myself! I won the round with 'orgasmed', it got on to page 3 of the Sun thanks to Carol's enthusiastic interpretation, I hope Martin's word gets some good coverage too :)

I'm sure you'll be wonderful as always Martin. Probably the best guest in the history of Countdown.......
