Just thought I'd pop on and say hello to all Bootsers. Haven't posted for a while, have been reading and thanking, but have not had anything interesting to post!! Also, I haven't been visiting Boots much at all and often, when I have, I've not picked anything up or, even worse, I've picked up a couple of things and then put them back and left with nothing.

Sorry if already mentioned but, in Doncaster, there is an offer of free B-Spot fragrance WYS £45 on Benefit products ( I think it's 50ml free but not sure). Is this offer on everywhere?

Amelia's Mummy-Know this is too late for your (eventually fruitless) shopping today, but I did the 342 with 2 reduced items the other day.
I got two lip glosses @ £4.75 and the full price make-up sponges @ £3.92 ish.
The till took off the £3.92 as cheapest and then one of the lip glosses went through as free with the perkie-I imagine if the reduced items were over £6 then the full £5 for the perkie would come off. HTH

Got more reduced perfume today, couldn't resist. totally random amounts of extra discounts coming off at the till even though the SAs obviously have to type the clearance price in manually-completely confused the poor girl!!

This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

    snipped.....

It reminds me of Ayds slim aids in the 70's, remember those? They were basically a bit of fudge which you chewed with a hot drink before a meal. The claim was that they would supress your appetite and therefore lead to weight loss. They actually contained a mild local anaesthetic which dulled your taste buds and of course some sugar to take the edge off your appetite :rotfl: I was a sucker in those days and tried them but they really didn't work any better than eating a bit of ordinary fudge would have done.

Oh I remember those ayds, but what a terribly innappropriate name it came to be:rotfl: :rotfl:

They were disgusting, so sweet, and I hate fudge anyway. They left an awful aftertaste. It makes you realise how niave we all were of nutrition in the 70's.:o :o

    I wouldn't mind I wasn't even overweight then:rotfl: :rotfl: I just thought I was.

Youth is wasted on the young and all that;) ;)

what about a magazine subscription? ask them to make you something or write you a poem? a plant for the house or garden? give them all a camera from you suc stash and ask them to fill it with photos that will make you smile?

I have all sons ;) and I love them dearly, but with the best will in the world males are not that immaginative.

If I had daughters it would be a whole different ball game I think

I usually just ask them to surprise me :D

Last year DD found an old card I had kept that she'd made at nursery school years ago. She bought a frame for it and gave it back to me as a surprise Mothers Day present. I have it on my bedroom wall now.

It's a picture of a flower made from her handprints (dipped in poster paint) with this message typed and stuck on:

    Sometimes you get discouraged
    Because I am so small
    I always leave my handprints
    On furniture and walls
    But everyday I'm growing big
    Soon I'll be very tall
    Then all my little handprints
Will be so hard to recall
So here's a special gift for you
    To keep, not wipe away
So you can remember how my hands looked
    When I was very small

Oh that is lovely, and so thoughtful. I bet it brought tears to your eyes though.

They were near the fake nails and hairbrushes in derby. It was mad everyone was going crazy buying mothers day gifts and trying to spend perkies.
There was hardly any no 7 cosmetics left on the shelves it was odd they had been completely wiped out of stock.

I really wanted another nail buffer set but they didn't have any so i got a no 7 beauty bag same colour as the bath range, a wallet and the little mirror. Nothing else to report no good clearance. paid at ss tills and tried some gwp's but the till said i hadn't met the requirements.
:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys :)
Want to be fit for 30 not fat at 30
