Is everyone like me, struggling to find anything, to say I would like for Mothers day, as I don't need anything  (I'm a lucky lady)

How about a donation to your favourite charity or adopt an animal at a local zoo?

Nice gesture but they want to give me something.:) I give to my own charities but I would not give a present from my family to charity.

What about all going for a lovely family day out with a nice picnic, or a day at a spa, a facial or pedicure thrown in - bliss!!! Or tickets to a show of your choice or a weekend away????

I wasn't suggesting you did give a present to charity, I just meant that your family could give cash to the charity instead.

If a zoo animal was adopted then it can be turned into a family day out to visit the "new pet".

Whatever you decide to do enjoy it xx

A day at a spa, with all this Sanctuary stuff at home  It doesn't appeal to me, it would be my idea of hell, really. :p A weekend away is already on the cards, and I am not really a materialistic person.

To be quite honest I find Mothers Day hard going, as I don't have my Mum any more.

I do find it a bit 'gimmicky, and always try to say that it doesn't really matter as I know I am loved 365 days of the year and I don't need a special day to tell me that. That's why I think I am a lucky lady.

I am more of a giver than a taker, I get a lot of pleasure from giving, but I get embarrassed receiving IYKWIM

Also got No7 Fil and Buffer compatc (free with perkie) from No7 stand and with my receipt she gave me invitation (printed from the till) for the prize draw on bootscare.com :) just tried my luck and no prize for me :(

Oooh no nothing like lying back and having someone massage my face with potions and lotions, I love it!!! I love going for facials, pedicure and head massages. I spend alot of time in India and I am always at the salon there:cool:, not so much here as it's expensive!!!!

I really enjoyed the free Origins facial and I have been using the samples they gave me and love them. I think I will be going again for the facial as they are only £10 and it's redeemable against any purchases.

I wish Boots sold Origins instore, I know they sell it on .com and I suppose I could order instore and pay with points.
  • Just skimmed the end of the old thread as been away for a week.

Stansted airport Boots (after security) had no7 suncream/after suns SEL of £4.58? ish - BINGO! I thought, can use a perkie on those... went through at £2.29 - till beeped, SA said go get another one and it'll be fine... it was! :D

Until I used them! I followed the instructions, apply 15 minutes before going out in the sun. SPF 15 (I will burn in 20 minutes if I don't use suncream, so doing the maths 15 x 20 mins= a lot :o ) I lay by the pool for about 30 mins and went to get a drink... chatted to some peeps near the bar for a few mins, went back to my lounger, reapplied suncream as paranoid about burning.

Went back to my room to get ready to go shopping - had only been in the sun for about 2 hours and discovered I had burned in that time

Don't know if its the formula/ingredients or it it was old stock  but it smelled right for suncream - I feel very annoyed that I was so careful and still burned as if I had used no sun protection at all!

Glad that I found this out before letting my DD use it on our hols in May. Bad enough me burning but I would feel so guilty had she burned!

Not going to rely on no7 for suncare now, bad experience and all that.

    HTH someone.
