Thank you jediteacher xxx
I agree, and it costs such a fortune- about 3 weeks ago, I was getting some clothes for DS who is 3 next week (although is in 5yr old clothes, lol) and I actually bought the tractor dungaree set for the full price of £18 (we live on a farm, and he is tractor mad- daddy's boy)
But I was saying to DH tonight that if we could stock up on clothes, it could be a real bargain with the 70% off sale plus 20% of original value..... £100 of clothes= £10!!! :T:beer:
My little girl is two and she is also tractor mad and a real daddy's girl. My husband a little baffled about stocking up - he cannot get his head around all the glitches and coupons!
Ooops chatting! Slaps own wrist.
I did manage to see in my local Boots London Colney lots of No7 suncare reduced. It may go through as 3 for 2 but I didn't try this as I can only use a certain sunscreen.'Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.'

If you always hand over your points vouchers first then you'll be fine. Get the points added before the total starts to drop with MOC's
This didn't work for me a couple of weeks ago. I bought items was over the total spend for the points coupon, handed over the points voucher which went on fine, then a MOC. The MOC took the spend below the £35 and the points were removed automatically by the till. I asked the lady on the till when she handed me my reciept and she just added them manually for me to save fuss; but she said she wasn't supposed to.:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -

I think this is how it works: no matter how u give the pts voucher (b4/after) if the MOC comes off the value of the item (like the Perkies/ £2 Cosmetic voucher) this will bring down the total spend and Mr B's tills r programmed to remove the pts (b4 the receipt is printed) even if these have been given b4 the MOCs; however, if the coupons (like manufacturers) go thru as Boots/Manufacturer coupons and these come off @ the end on the receipt (after the total) then these r 'counted' towards as money spent so they'll b added onto the total spend... Hope I haven't been too confusing...:o0 -
hi
i got a 342 acm voucher today for support tights. did see them reduced for £1 each last wk in a local so fingers crossed they are still there, but knowing my luck prob not!!0 -
hazelwoods wrote: »Still no sign of powder at my local so thought I'd just try line lift, peel and 1 other. I took ages deciding what I'd have and eventually went for a L'Oreal night cream costing £12.58. Line lift is £12.70.
I went to main tills where a fav SA was but she was busy with another customer who needed help. SA I got didn't seem to appreciate the "advantage" part of the Advantage Card.
She put all 3 items through and the L'Oreal came off as the cheapest. So far so good. But then SA tried the Line Lift voucher. It beeped. She decided it was because I had already got the L'Oreal free. I explained it had worked last week and asked her to try again. She tried to get a supervisor. The SA from No7 tills came over. I said "I should just have come over to you", and she smiled but was trying to solve the problem for the other customer and couldn't look at mine.
Original SA went for someone else. Supervisor from pharmacy. She looked at voucher and she and SA insisted that I couldn't use the voucher because I'd already got the 342. I tried to very politely explain that all customers could get 342 but AC users should get some advantage from that. They weren't going to move on it so I said I'd just leave it all. I can't remember her reply but it wasn't particularly friendly.
I really had to bite my tongue when supervisor then said "We've got to draw the line somewhere."
I removed myself from the store as quickly as I could because if I had said anything I think I might have exploded.
I went back to the car and then decided to go back and have another try at the No7 till. But instead I decided to go to the opposite end of the shopping centre to M&S. I found some lovely bargains so spent my money there instead of at Boots.
(((hugs)))hazelwoods:( I know exactly how you feel hun. I spent ages trying to get the line voucher to scan on SS tills, then I went to a manned till. Still no joy. SA said it wouldn't scan because of 3 4 2, so I picked up another No7 item. The voucher beeped again:mad:I gave up in the end. Someone suggested asking the SA to type in the code. I might just try that. If it don't work, I'm giving up! I've already wasted enough time on this. I even missed my train home tonight because of that flippin' line voucher:rolleyes:0 -
I think this is a really good idea and should be stuck to, as anyone could say that they are doing a charity event and ask for donations/gifts etc and just keeping/selling them. I'm not saying that it has happened (but I have my own thoughts on that so don't shout at me) but I believe that anybody else asks please refuse to send them things and hopefully their posts will be removed too. If you have a big stash going spare and want to help a charity TAKE IT TO A CHARITY SHOP OR SHELTER!!!!!!
Evening all thanks for that angelbob, as someone said to me recently;), if you want to help a charity, shouldnt you be the one doing the helping iyswim? Anyhow thanks for op regarding the reduced sanex deo going through on bogof, its not the whole range thats reduced so make sure you check the sels. Also pls can someone enlighten me regarding the points voucher and expert total body range, i have read through and seen some vague references, are there things going through that make it so mr b pay us to take them away? TiaYou laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. (A.C)0 -
Very little on clearance today.
I did, however, notice that selected footcare is on BOGOHP, including some Scholl and Boots Gorgeous.
I was hoping to try my Line Lift and Glyco Peel vouchers, but they had sold out of the Glyco Peel. The SA did say they would be getting more in, though.0 -
BigBargainBrummy wrote: »I managed to get mine today in a really tiny Boots. Was the only one left and the SA was looking at the till like an alien had landed on the screen when it said £1. She sighed a few times then really reluctantly said £1 for the 2 items (nail varnish too). May be worth looking at the small ones which people only really use for pharmacy as I had searched all the big ones to no avail.
Feel free to pm me to save it clogging up the board if anyone would like to share.
Thanks in advance.:jMini Coops arrived 2011:j0 -

I also had problems with the line lift voucher beeping yesterday, and the SA used the same made-up excuse of the 342 as well, even though I told her I'd done an identical transaction with no problems last week.
It would be interesting to see how people get on if they try it today, as I'm wondering if it's been busted.0 -
Sorry to be a pest but what is the script with the nail varnish? Is it a specific one that's coming up as free? Had a look back over about 30 pages but couldn't find mention of it!

Thanks in advance.
There is an offer of a free No17 nail varnish with the purchase of any No17 cosmetic item at the moment, so if you received the mailing that included the No17 lash defining mascara for £1 then you will get both for £1.00. It also works on the No17 wipes which are reduced to 99p (I got this yesterday), and there are some ACM vouchers for a 1/2 price trio eyeshadow that it works with as well.
