It sure is NAB
I mean, I always go to my bairns' charity events.
I don't know if a school/college would want all items donated by children + all items bought by children.. even if it is for charity ..
My kiddies aren't old enough for school yet, although we do have a local Baby&Toddler Group which do a lot of fundraising both for themselves and some more 'local' charities, and I agree- it is most unusual for an event not to be opening the floodgates for supporters and donators. We advertise for weeks in advance, often offering a 'coffee morning' type of incentive to persuade people to come along for a browse and some fabulous raffles etc.
hja, Does your school/college do a newsletter or perhaps there may be a small article covered by your local paper? I'd love to hear a wee story about the different stalls and activities the event held and how much you all raised for such a worthwhile cause!0 -
its only been changed once. hmm
It should of already happened by now though, then you said it's this week, so there's more time for people on here to send you vouchers/items.. now your saying it's the first week of the new term.
when's the last date for any1 on here to send you things? Thanks:hello:

hi
NAB i'll find out at the start of the new term.
and everyone whos wondering why it isnt open to the public is because the hall wouldnt fit 700 people(staff and kids) and then the public on top. and its for the general safety of pupils.
i think you have to understand the concept of our school system to realise why they dont allow the general public. this annual charity even is just for pupils and staff to boost school morale before exams etc and obv for charity.
and Angel 50, most pupils at our school are very privelliged, a more common term is "better off" so i dont think they mind giving in stuff or spending money on things. anyway pupils bring in old stuff that they dont want so they dont really mind. a lot of pupils also bake cakes, cookies etc.
it is a shame that they dont open it for everyone but the event is to try and involve pupils, staff etc.
our school have a lot more charity events which raise a lot of money too, e.g coffee mornings, fun runs.
and also i dont think the charity event is such a big thing that it would be coverd by a local newspaper because its just a small, thing in a school.
oh, that was a long post.0 -
i said it was going to be last week, which was the last week of school terms but they cancelled it and made it into the first week of new school term.

Has anyone tried getting the glyco peel, line lift and something which costs MORE than £12.70. Getting the line lift free because of 342 and then getting another £12.70 taken off because of the line lift voucher going through till...
Only have glyco and line vouchers left and wondered if the price of the line lift comes off even when the line lift was the free item (as the powder did). Any help appreciated thanks everyone x0 -
