Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 52 - Post your finds here

I'm sorry but I feel I have to post a response to this. If this "Community" (the address for which is advertised on here in posts) is going to be so selective that it doesn't even let people in in the first place (as happened to a friend of mine) or bans them if they don't post, then it is more of a private group and should have been discussed and arranged privately, away from this public message board, amongst the people who are in this "group".
I'm sorry to be so blunt but I work on a huge national website and I find the idea that people must post or they risk being banned, absolutely ridiculous. We have many people on our site who just "lurk" and never post but they enjoy being there, no-one is forcing them to be involved or chat. As I have already said, if you want it to be selective, don't advertise it in public.
And as for people taking advantage of the glitches, then these glitches are not personal to any one on here, Boots is a national concern and if you're gonna post anywhere at all on the net about the glitches then people will obviously be interested in them.
Sorry if I've upset anyone and I really don't normally rant but I had to say it. I guess working on a website makes me more aware of the rights of people who join and how they all use their memberships in different ways.
You are certainly entitled to your opinion and I doubt anyone will get upset tbh!! Anyone is welcome to join the other forum but it is only polite to at least post and take part after all that's what a forum is for surely???? We are not talking about a website here but a forum which I think is an entirely different thing. A forum is more of a community whereas a website is public information.
There are too many people that never post, never want to give any input but want to rush out and clear the shelves of any bargains or glitches that anyone else kindly lets us know about.
I'm afraid I don't see it as a problem being expected to contribute to be a part of something. Maybe for people who don't post it might be, who knows! I am happy to post on there and be a part of it as are many others I am sure!!
Sorry if I have upset anyone but I don't expect I have lol!
Anyhow - back to Bootsing - I've just checked the date on the ACM vouchers that I have and all seem to run out on 21 April - I haven't got any that run out tomorrow. :T0 -

In response to McFilly's post #2471. I agree with you McFilly. I read this forum every day but often don't feel I have anything to contribute and don't want to tie up the thread with useless posts as it often moves so fast it is hard to keep up with anyway. I have benefitted greatly from information gained here and contribute when I have done so. I have even met another bootser whilst out shopping. But just because I'm not a regular poster doesn't mean that I don't want to be a part of your bootsing community. I just want to be a quiet shy one!
Ahh but the point is you have contributed when you can so you have taken part!!!!! Some people have never posted to say what they got or where there are clearance shelves etc!!!!0 -
I guess I should have made myself clearer when I said I worked on a website. The main part of the website where I work is on the forums, I am an administrator and a moderator so I do understand about memberships and deal with members and their accounts on a daily basis
There are many chatty people on there and many quiet ones, they are all members and are all equal in status, whether they remain quiet or chat lots. We treat them all equally.0 -

Well that's fine but each forum has it's own rules and guidelines - what suits one doesn't suit another. Not all mods run forums in the same way either and that is up to them if they have set it up.
I think it's only fair for people to try and contribute even if only a little every so often - not asking much really!!!!
But as I said everyone is entitled to their own opinion and it's good that people express them!;)0 -
Sorry, I deleted my previous post as I decided I don't really want to get involved in this discusion. I just hope that the 'regulars' don't abandon us quieter members and keep all the grabbits to yourselves! There's a skinny woman inside me screaming to be let out. A cookie soon shuts her up!!! :rotfl:0

I had the 50 pts ones first and they expired a couple of weeks ago, I managed to find reduced tights before they did. :j:j
Last time I used the ACM I was given more and this time for 100pts, but I haven't found any reduced tights since.~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
I also want to add that, until now, I have only ever read very friendly and supportive posts from everyone here. Please can we keep it that way. I just love bootsing and, as my friends all think I'm mad and get a glazed look in their eyes when I mention Boots, I feel at least I have kindred spirits here! There's a skinny woman inside me screaming to be let out. A cookie soon shuts her up!!! :rotfl:0

I managed to get my mum some tights for £1.32 each pkt on clearance the other day, 2 pairs in a pack and used the 100pt voucher on each pack so 32p - was pleased with this. Last time I didn't use the voucher. Wonder if new tights one will appear tomorrow???0
