Hi, I've just stumbled across this thread, makes very intersting reading. What's a perkie?? Seems everyone is talking in "Boots code" and I don't quite get it. I'm all for a freebie and bargain, can someone please explain to a Boots novice what I should be doing???

Reading the first 2 posts in this thread will explain things.

  • On the perfume notes-
In my collection my favourites are:
DKNY Woman - nice and light - fruity - but stays all day
Jean Paul Gaultier - very heavy and musky
Vera Wang Princess - Quite sweet and subtle
Armani Mania - musky and probably my favourite at the moment.
Valentino Rock and Roses - nice smell but doesn't last long.

If you are stuck for ones to buy why not make a list of ones you would buy for relatives etc as B'day Xmas presents then it will save you money too?
I may have lupus but it doesnt make me useless! I am a true believer in Karma, and am a typical cancerian. I have a hard outside, but am mushy on the inside.:o
  • Just thought id add my twopence, cause ive got completely different taste in fragarance to those that have already posted.

    I love
My Queen by alexander mcqueen violets etc, but not owerpowering
Angel by Thierry mugler, Chocolatey, a female collegue once said i was distracting her from work, everytime i went past:rotfl:
Secret obsession Calvin Klein lasts ages
Armani code by Mr armani very sophisticated
    Samsara by Guerlain
    Mistoku (sp) by Guerlain
( the above two are both quite strong oriental )
    Lolia Lempika (the apple bottle)
    Gucci Rush by Gucci
D&G Feminine by D&G (dhs fave, i wore it loads when we first met:o)

As you can probably tell, i love my perfume.:D

I've gone a bit mad with perfume buying recently.

My favourites at the moment are:
Daisy - smells a lot like violets at first sniff
    Vera Wang Princess
    Fantasy by Britney Spears
    Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears

I don't usually buy celebrity-endorsed things, but having seen someone on youtube reviewing the Fantasy perfume, I was persuaded to check it out, and I love it. I don't like anything too 'heavy'

    :hello:
Haven't been able to go bootsing for a few days as have been stricken with the dreaded D&V bug in our house (a lot of D but luckily not so much V..... ok too much info!) but managed to dash in to check the ACM (would have been rude not to! :p ) and YES! Got the glycolic peel and line lift vouchers! Got 3 peel but only one line lift! But have a humiliating voucher from sister so can try for the big one! :D Didn't have time today but will hopefully be able to go on Sunday or Monday - hope there is still some left. I won't bother if it costs me money though - have so much unused stuff at the mo that can't justify spending on anything else! :o So watch this space!

Also haven't earned anything this week as had to take time off (don't get paid if I don't work).

Have just registered on the other 'temp' board too just in case - though don't think will actually have time to visit as have a busy weekend - family wedding.

Hope a mega interesting glitch comes up but not until next week! :rotfl:

Well done and a big thanks to those who have braved the triple terrors: SAs, SS tills and the SVs (screeching vouchers) :T
Keep up the good work! :D
