Just a quick question - I'd like to get into the boots thing so have been reading all of your messages... but what is a pooey!!?? :-O

    Hiya
When you spend £5 in Boots, you get a till spit ( normally you get a proper voucher, but not at the minute ) with your receipt.. it's £2 off certain colour cosmetics...
It's called a pooey, cos when we first heard about it, it sounded pretty rubbish... + also, it's spend £5 save £2 .. we like spend £5 save £5 on some decent things HTH :D

Thanks jazzteddy. If I use his card but have acm vouchers with my name on (or vice versa) will the till bleep or doesn't it matter?

Try to check the name on vouchers when you remember. When there is
some mega glitch going on just try which ever combo of vouchers works best, just to help OH get the best use out of them.
The only vouchers that I have noticed, which do not always scan, are the double points mailing vouchers.
Now I do check the name on those, so that OH gets the right points. ;)
Otherwise I think you should be ok with a bit of voucher sharing, after all he is probably not as good at working out great deals
and needs all the help he can get.:D Just remember to make sure he uses his card sometimes,
in order to help him get a nice variety of ACM offers. HTH. :)

I was lucky yesterday, as when i put in my card i got the peel and line vouchers. I got the humiliation voucher last week, so armed with these vouchers i took my mum (my car is broken) to M'Hall to try my luck on SS tills.

Well they had the highlighter but not the other two, so i was slightly foiled.

i got a nail varnish for my nan's birthday and the highlighter and i found the reduce limited eyeshadow that has been mentioned on here. Not bad for £6.10.

Saw the S&G giant coin purse, still full price but i'm very tempted as its sooooooooo purty and would look lovely with my stash.

They also had the MF mesh bag on the MF factor stand, there were loads so i though i would treat my mum to one for driving me.

My mum went looking for a foundation and she got one off bourjois that had £2 off it and a further £2 with a pooey.

    So she was chuffed.
She got only a humiliation voucher out of the machine, and since she goes away this weekend i may just have to find a use for it.

Just like to say thankyou to all of you that have tried these vouchers enabling me to understand.
More [STRIKE]knowledge[/STRIKE] stuff then sense

I know shops are having problems, due to the reccession... but MR.B must be doing really bad, cos he's giving away 200,000 x 1,000 points = £2 million worth of Boots products.. I know he hasn't paid all that much in stock + I also know that not every one of the 200,000 winners will actually collect their prize .. I do know that it's also to get more people into the shop, but it shows how bad Boots is being affected by it.
