You're a lodger - talk to your landlady..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
I used to date a guy who rented out the rooms in his house to lodgers, its nearly identical to what you are describing Alexia~A friend of mine who lodged there left some butter in fridge with some milk one day, next day it had been used by one of the other 3 lodgers that was living there, like you she hated confrontation, but principal was at stake here, she wouldnt take other peoples food,so why would they take hers. She asked me to talk to my partner (her landlord) to sort this out, initially he suggested putting her name on the items, (which she did) and then he wrote on a piece of paper a few 'house' rules stating that food clearly labelled with one persons name, is for that persons use only. It stopped whoever it was !!
Im with the poster above me, you need to speak to your landlady/landlord ask them to speak to all of the other lodgers regarding this. As for the washing situation, have her draw up a rota whereas you have set days to do washing, that worked well with the lodgers at my ex's house and stopped the problem of other lodgers using the machine when they shouldnt.
You pay rent at the end of the day, your landlady should sort it out for you.Best wins
