I've had viewings with LAs who have had the grace to be embarrassed by the state of places they were showing- one that springs to mind was floored throughout with the world's ugliest lino, including the bedrooms. On every wall in every room was at least two of the kind of pictures you used to get at pound shops- irridescent dolphins leaping through waves, wolves howling at the moon etc. Another place featured a lounge wall covered in a mural of a woman peering through vivid green and yellow jungle leaves. Her eyes followed you around the room. Brrrr.

As a student we at one point were looking for a house to sleep 8. We were looking round one (was "furnished" with ripped off car seats as chairs as I recall) when one of my more alert friends pointed out there were actually only 7 bedrooms. "Oh that's ok, I'll build you another one over the summer" was the response. Yeah, ok!
