Please help!! Pregnant and struggling with bills and unsure of entitlements

Hello all,
I am looking for some advice as I am now getting desperate!
I am 4 months pregnant and am not quite sure where I stand.
Me and my partner own our own house and only earn about £800 a month each. We have been renting out our house for the last year but now need to move back in as we will soon have a new addition!
I have looked at all my options but don't know where I stand or what I am entitled to. I won't be returning to work after my baby is born as I can't afford childcare costs. I will recieve my Maternity pay from my employer... but am unsure about anything else after that.
I have been trying to reduce my monthly bills in order to be able to afford to move back into our house... Interest only mortgage (we are currently on a fixed rate) will reduce payments slightly, but not much. I have done a whole evaluation of debts and bills and have cut everything back, but it appears that if you are not on any benefits, then the government doesn't want to help you!! (I have never signed on in my life!)
I have tried to speak to CAB but they are jam packed and I don't really know who else to speak to. Any advice would be very much appreciated!
Thank you in advance.

hi,you will be entitled to child tax credit and maybe working tax credit (depends on income for the working tax credit),also you will be entitled to child benefit.these are for after your little one is born.0
-
pop onto entitledto.com for a rough guide of what you will be entitled to.0

Thank you for such a quick reply ladylump, will try that site now. I am also wondering, do you think I can get help with Council tax?0

you maybe entitled to council tax benefit and housing benefit.again, this depends on your income.also if you have savings this affects it.i think you are allowed up to 6000 in savings for housing benefit and then between 6000 and 16000 they take off a certain amount per £250 pounds of savings.if you put the details into entitled to.com that will be after you have the baby it will give you a rough guide.
