I am Sorry if I have done this incorrectly as I am new to this. Basically around December 2008 I saw a 'Stop Press' message on MSE advising that a deal for 12month free (12 month free, pay for 6 x £6.50, 18 month contract) TalkTalk offer that was on the TalkTalk site for employees was opened to everyone after MSE has got the permission. Now I can't find that message anywhere and TALKTALK are refusing to honour the deal. Who do I approch to get the information about this? Does anybody else remeber seeing this or have a copy? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you

It probably only applied in December0

you might find it using the wayback machine..
...but I don't remember seeing that deal (though once my eyes see TalkTalk they usually just move along...I'd never consider them myself)Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -
The web page you wanted was originally at:
http://www.talktalk.co.uk/12months
If you paste that into your browser now, they say the offer has ended and redirect you to the main site.0 -

It says the offer ends 31st March 20090 -
Thanks for the replies.
I have checked the resources above to no avail.
The issue is TalkTalk are saying that MSE didn't have any rights to display the message saying they had given the permission for the link for employees to be used by everyone. Yet MSE were diplaying the message to say they had permission and had been open to all. I was hoping to find the link again and then send it to TalkTalk, then they can determine who gave permission. Unless ofcourse I can get someone at MSE to say how the permission was obtained.
Its the only reason I signed up with TalkTalk and am now regretting ever moving over to them.0 -

Thank-you Edinburghlass.
I knew I wasn't going mad, this is exactly the information I was after.
I have sent a PM to the TalkTalk rep, asking for response.
I don't know why TalkTalk can't just honour the deal. Someone must have agreed to have this information put on MSE.
If they say they didn't agree this is false advertising and its the only basis I joined on. Surely this is illegal!0 -
Hi Jas2020,
I've sent you a private message so we can get to the bottom of this for you.
Cheers

I am the official company representative of Talk Talk. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
I have registered on the TalkTalk forums as requested. Awaiting response from the TalkTalk representative.0
