Hi everyone! Am a newbie and want to get in on the PAD action.

I have a Credit Card of £3500.00 to Barclaycard that I am going to set in my sights first! I figure is I make a PAD to my savings and then at the end of the month make the extra payment to the card then it should help me avoid ringing them eveyday!

I also have a clear Credit Card so may see if I can find a 0% Balance Transfer deal :)

Really want to be debt free and am sometimes scared by how much debt I have - lovely to see such a supportive forum :)

Hi ya hellowave.gif Welcome to the madhouse ! ...
Good luck with your payment a day , either small or large it's surprising how quickly it all adds up . Everybody is really great and very friendly on here which helps to keep you motivated ...

    I'm back
Having had an enforced absence of PAD whilst every spare bean went on paying the enormous bill for the drains; I am now back. Yay. I've been reading all the progress though and its been amazing - well done everyone, the totals have made such heartwarming reading.

So today I have made a PAD of just £1.00 which I found on the floor. I'll work out my signature later. It feels good to be back.

Hi Sutclifs, welcome to the house of fun! Its addictive, so watch out!!

Re the payments, do you have online banking? A lot of us have set up a standing order type payment to our CCs, so we can pay pennies if need be... you don't have to talk to anyone, and if your interest is calculated daily, the quicker the money gets to your card, the less you pay :)
