Could I join please? I am planning to do my payment a day in 2 stages.

    1. For my business debts: I have paid 7.30 to one of my loans today via a bank transfer.
    2. I'll do another for a credit card debt - will do this by phone.
I've just spent £2.50 in the chippie and it wasn't that good. I should have stuck to the beans on toast and put the 2.50 to the debt. I'll know the next time.
This is a brilliant idea, the small change soon mounts up.

Hi hellowave.gif Good luck with your payment a day , either small or large it's surprising how quickly it all adds up . Everybody is really great on here which helps to keep you motivated ...

  • I'm back I felt as if my life had ended I have had no internet since 10am Friday morning. I spent hours in MacDonalds on Friday with my laptop inputing my mystery shops using their free wifi. Thankfully my duaghter's BF fixed it tonight. I have been tearing my hair out. What did I do before internet?

So while I still can £16.72 to the blue Elise fund

Off to catch up on what I have missed.

go one then! this interweb is a right time suck, isn't it! :D

i had a lovely weekend once i'd got over the disappointment of not meeting up with my friend & seeing his band. i had a hassle-free flight (could be something to do with not having any kids with me??) and it was really easy to get from belfast city airport to my hotel, which was nicely central and just around the corner from the opera house where i went friday night to see flashdance. it was brill! there were a few famous faces (todd from corrie going back a few years, noel from hearsay going back a few more years! and bernie nolan) and it was a good evening.

saturday i had a HUGE cooked breakfast & went on an open top bus tour. what a great 2 hours! our tour guide was lovely and had the gift of the gab (he was definitely in the right job!) and the tour was great. i've been to belfast once before - to get US passports from the embassy - but had not been by the big cranes (used to be for shipbuilding), stormont or round the university. i had a KFC meal on shankhill road by chance on last visit, so had a proper look this time & also down falls road. i have to say that i noticed a difference in the 4 years since i'd last been - there was loads of regeneration/building work going on and it looks like the city is really on the up. no doubt i've still only seen a fraction of what's on offer, as i know those bus tours are uber-touristy but hey - i *was* a tourist! :D
everyone was so friendly, it was a great break. spent sat afternoon blubbing in the new odeon cinema watching marley & me before flying home. great stuff!

    thanks for asking! xx

    Morning all!

Well, it's not payday anymore, and the Council Tax want their money again this month, so it's back to normal service - £1.72 PAD to my Emergency Fund!

I now have two accounts - one with some money I can withdraw instantly with no penalty and one which only allows 1 withdrawal a year without penalty, which I am keeping the bulk of the money in. As you can name your accounts online it's called "Emergency -Eek" :rotfl:
