  • Hello all... i've not posted for about six months... what a horrendous time! As of yesterday i'm out of work... clinging on to what sanity i have, so will officially bow out of this mission, and gracefully accept i'll be in debts for much longer than i wanted to be... luckily i have no 'spare' credit so i can't increase debts too much... aldi beans on toast it is...

you're all getting on so well... loving the threads

Sorry to hear of your misfortune.
Not much help to you but in the last recession I was made redundant three times in two years.
The situation forced me to be more receptive to ideas about what I could or would do.
I went self-employed and am still at it 18 years later.
Those redundancies turned out to be some of the better things that happened to me because they pushed me to a place where I would have been too scared to go unless my back was to the wall.
I think I've become unemployable but so long as I can continue with my self-employment, I'm not bothered about that.

BigBum - I have seen "Vicious Vanquis" used on here...liking that one. Could also try changing the "V" to a "W"...... BAD ANDY.

I use Vicious Vanquis, but Vicious Wanquis has a certain ring to it that i like  :rotfl:

I get far too giddy over bands and watch them many many times in many cities and *cough* countries *cough* :rotfl::rotfl: Seen these guys in Oslo and Vancouver! :o You should come along Hopeful!!

Ooo it sounds like i'd have fun! I used to watch bands a lot when i was younger and into 'indie' music. I then transgressed a bit into dance dj.gif and R & B but still enjoy a bit of a rock out now and then! punk.gif I remember having a boyfriend who was a psychobilly - he introduced me to the Mac Lads - thank god my mother never heard the words! lol

Hello all, have paid £156.04 today to various funds. Sold OH's bike on Ebay and the buyer collected yesterday, paying in cash so have deposited in my bank account today and paid to holiday funds - going up nicely!

Hope all are well, off to read today's posts now.
