Ok I've been lurking around the forums for a very long time, but I have to say you guys have inspired me.

I've used the calculator, I've cut down on my expenses within reason and have now got a job that pays more money (yay!) so am trying to shift the debt off.

When I totalled it up on Friday I owed a latte short of £6000, between two credit cards and my overdraft. Not a massive amount, but given I left uni three years ago and haven't started paying off my student loan, it's a bit of a problem. I have a couple of friends and family members who are at crunch point and it's woken me up sooo...

I counted up the contents of my coin jar and made a payment to my credit card. I reduced down my buffer zone savings (if it earns 8p a month versus the interest on my credit cards then why bother).

I've also been decluttering my flat for the first time since i moved in  and miraculously found two building society passbooks that I had completely forgotten about, and hadn't been touched since 2007, so went and closed out the accounts and made another payment to the credit cards.

Thanks to you guys I've paid off 11.5% of my debt since Friday, and am trying as many bits and pieces as possible to get the cards sorted.

    Welcome to the Madhouse.

When you make a PaD , write down what you paid and put in Bold and in colour so that it can be added into each days total.

    Good Luck!:j

By the way, I have now deactivated my Facebook page - I didn't sign up with my real name (Believe it or not :D my name isn't Flyin!) and there isn't too much point to it for me.

So, I'm not being rude if you "added" me on Facebook, it's just not my thing :D
