Is the book Gargoyles? In that case, you have my permission to finish it:D

If you have already finished it, what did you think of it? I love to hear other people's opinions on books that I absolutely love:D

Having a bit of a carppy time- emotional, neurotic, angry, possibly hormonal:p and frustrated...with EVERYTIHING!

Luckily the guys were out...it would have been a bit messy seeing as we don't really do personal issues! (Just 2 middle aged guys and me)

Just popping in to apologise for loss of transmission; I see that I have several pages to catch up on. I am entertaining the godchildren at present, so life has been somewhat eventful, but I am becoming wise to the ways of the six-year-old and three-year-old mind. Taking them to the Sealife Centre tomorrow, so that should be fun/exhausting/good for those fast reflexes/scary for sealife.

    Hope you are all ok...
    See you soon,
    H

    Evening all,

I have wine & I dont care :p You were right Bowski; biccies & wine is just too much denial for me :o

Hollyberry - good to hear from you & hope you're not being outwitted by the tiddlers, Sealife Centre should be fun :D.

Ziggles - :grouphug: sorry you're having a carpy time at the moment. As to The Gargoyles - sarah described it to me as having everything you want from a book & I agree. It really is superb.

off to update my Quest but briefly :

    I have done my yoga
Been a bit of a pig with food
    Paid £2 coins into savings
    Bought some fab food bargains
Kept my kitchen clean & clutter free ( still have shiny drainer :D)

Hols = canal boat with parents. They have a timeshare thing on a canal boat and they have a fortnight as of Friday so I'm joining them on saturday for a week.

Should be a cheap and relaxing hol. I think I've been invited as the skivvy to do all the locks so hopefully will lose the bingo wings! ;)

We're going down the Grand Union in Staffordshire so should be good.

I'm gonna take my tapestry and some library books and have a good chilled out time.

I'm making a cake to take (not chocolate) and my parents have ordered a box of wine!:T

That sounds fab. We've been up to the canal in Staffordshire today - a place called Barton Marina, if you or your parents know it. I can highly recommend lunch in the deli there; it's called the Apple Tree/Barn (can't remember which). We had some lovely tapas, even if I did have to threaten OH with impalement by fork if he persisted in eating all the olives. There's also a great Book Barge (small but very interesting selection - from which I've got the second Terry Darlington book about boating in the USA) and some rather expensive shops.

    Hey Everyone

I hope this link works very funny

It made me laugh a lot - it is called 'why some women are still single'

I'm thinking of heading to Toronto to try and find this guy!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Oh makeup - that's brilliant :rotfl:

if somewhat spooky, some of those excuses he was making for her not to call him reminded me of someone I knew ...

We need to send him a copy of the book.
  • It's that scary tone where he thinks he is being so rational about those excuses.... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Isn't it also a bit scary that so many of us have one of those somewhere in our past? I agree with Lula; an emergency issue of the book is in order.

And a crash course with makeup on no freakin' drama. ;)

But you don't realise what a 'great catch' he is!!!!

Holly, thanks for the tip. I don't know the area at all so I'll definitely see if we're gonna swing past there.

Have sold another book on Amazon which is great news, not for much but it all adds up and also means another book gone from my pile!!
