Single and in Debt Part II

Big hugs Gwen, hope you had another good hair day today
. It's a horrible thing to go through and I know it's difficult but try to stop thinking about it for a while, the whole checking the phone all the time for a text is awful, have you tried turning your phone off for a bit? I know it sounds silly but I have found it really does help.[/QUOTE
Hair-wise, it wasn't as good as yesterday, but I've definitely had much worse too. I guess even after such a short period of time, I'd stopped thinking of myself as being single and enjoyed everything that comes with being a couple and now it's gone. I haven't checked my phone for a couple of hours now, but will need to set my alarm when I go to bed. It just makes me wonder if I'll ever find anybody who can accept me and my 'baggage'? It'll take somebody very special I think.Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
Hey Sarah - I seem to have a bizarre bermuda triangle in my bedroom too. I've lost a few things - not as precious as an ipod - but really annoying things like 2 rechargeable batteries and a memory card reader. But I'm so sad that I refuse to buy new ones as I know they are somewhere!!! It will show up though, I thought I'd left a pair of gold shoes in a hotel last year and months and months later I found the darned things hidden in my shoe tidy. I was fuming and happy at the same time!!
I know as soon as I get a new one and set it up the old one will appear.I remember from the huge declutter I did a few weeks ago that a lot of things I had completely forgotten about resurfaced, but I have done so much searching and decluttering that I think I am going to have to accept I have thrown it out.
If it was anything else I wouldn't bother replacing it and would wait for it to turn up. Have done the same as you re shoes with my favourite cardigan, very annoying.

- coins in piggy
- read papers online
- washing at 30
- checked quidco/pigsback
- store cupboard meals

You haven't taken it out anywhere and left it?Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
You haven't taken it out anywhere and left it?
No, I only listen to it in bed when I am trying to get to sleep, I am having to listen to the radio instead.
Have you thought about anything fun you can do this weekend? As you feeling a bit down I think you can maybe give up the MSEing for a couple of days and just concentrate on having a lovely time instead. Maybe treat yourself to a fab pair of shoes or an extra nice piece of clothing, maybe something you wouldn't necessarily get for yourself usually and then remind yourself you deserve it because you are fab and lovely.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
The ipod can't have left the house then...hmm, have you gone through your rubbish - not a nice job, admittedly. Was it a shuffle?
I'm going to arrange some fun things. I'm just so focused on MSEing at the moment, I find it hard to drop it. I desperately need to do some work on my house and I do have stuff coming up, so I might just do that. I am treating myself to a new jacket. I do need one, but if I was being really MSE I'd say I could make do with the minging old thing I've had since Uni. I'm going to Wimbledon too, don't forget!!! All those fit men in little white shorts is just what I need - I'll be the porker stalking Gwen Stefani... Oh I'm going to see Kings of Leon in a couple of weeks too.

It was a shuffle, very handy as they don't take up much space on the bedside table, not so handy when you are searching for the damn thing. I did go throught the rubbish, 2 bags which I had thrown out that day and you are right, it is not a nice job.
Definitely get the jacket, I have been throwing out a few things today where i have thought there is still some use in it, but we need to have nice things sometimes;) Am v jealous re Wimbledon, think you are right, it is just what you need.
Well done on joining match.com by the way, I keep thinking I should do something like that but as with everything it is on hold until I lose weight. You must let us know how it goes with the email guy, we want all the [STRIKE]gossip[/STRIKE] news.:DPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Hi all
Gwen, "His Loss" is what's coming to my mind. :grouphug: You tried, he didn't, therefore you are lovelier than him and he's missing out.
Sarah, congrats on the decluttering. I have shifted and reorganised so much stuff over the last few months and it's really helped. I now have a proper study (it also moonlights as a spare room and laundry room) and it's made a real difference to my studying. I can shut the door on it now, which is much better than working lying on my bed and never really switching off.
Mind you, I've just looked at the practice paper for tomorrow's exam (yes, I was putting it off) and... eeek.
Never mind. I have done very well recently at remembering it's only an exam and it's a degree, not my whole life. It's not even a degree I need or have to do, I'm just being stubborn about finishing it! Have decided life is too short to make myself miserable day to day for potentially getting something later on. Shame it's taken me ten years to figure that out. Oh well, control freak learns to chill eventually.
My friend who had a cancer scare got her biopsy results today and she's OK :j:j:j... we're going to celebrate when she comes down weekend after this one.
Right I really have to go to bed now... please wish me luck for tomorrow, I'm going to need it. Hope you all have a fab day
