  • Hi. Was finding it amusing reading some of your comments. Wanted to put some minds at rest if i can....I used to work for them and i can assure u that at that time there were no scams of any type going on that i was aware of. They are just an extremely hard working company who are providing a service. They specialize in house shares but also have a few flats on their books. As with all estate/letting agents, people could find things frustrating such as having to pay £100 deposit to hold a room for a month but after you have made the mistake of holding rooms for potential tenants and they have changed their mind and business has been lost through turning away other customers, there is no other option. I am also sure that they are not aware of the phone system being down. Why would this be in their interest as a business?

I am aware of a few people who were not impressed with Spericle (as with every other letting agents out there probably) but I am aware of more people who are very happy with the service and accommodation. It just depends what u are after in terms of rent u wish to pay etc but i would say that it is easy to judge and act before u have given people a chance. ;)

I suggest you pop around to their office (you must know where they are, you used go work for them), and tell your ex-work colleagues that their phones are knackered and they are losing business as a result.

So it's all OK then. But what about the OP being given a mobile number and being hung up on? How do you explain that?
