Thanks for all the info on here - I already had the R4 originally for mine then changed it to a G6. As the kids have both now got ds's they are using both of those so I needed to get something for me - have opted for the acekard from dealextreme together with the 4gb kingston (?) hdsd card so will see how that compares - can anyone confirm though does it come pre-loaded with software? if not what do I need to load onto it ? thanks

I am having trouble with Chrono Trigger on the R4. I assume its because its not supported.

Hi folks, I'm been looking at the Acekard and the Edge. Just a couple of questions - what's the difference in the versions of the Acekard and it worth paying the exra $5 for the Edge over the Acekard (for a 5 YO who won't want features).
Also looking at the DX version, it doesn't look legit, whereas the version here does. Any comments?

    TIA.

I'll need the one with the card reader as well though - I've a 4GB SDHC card but no SDHC reader. The reader on DX looks ropey, whereas the on focalprice looks the same as on the AceKard site.

Mines well made but i got it from a UK seller off another forum as it also came with 12 dvd's full of things ;) and a tiny card reader i think thats why its called the compact version, so not sure where they got it from.

EDIT: Looking around there are 2 versions with/without reader , the ones like i got are 2.1 latest versions the other ones may be older 2.0 versions
