Thinking of trying to get Sky cheaper for 3 months? Do you think it's worth a try?

Yippeeitdedoda!!! Have just come off the phone from Sky and they have offered us 3 months 1/2 price rental. So thanks everyone for all your advice, would never have thought to have rung them before - and when the 3 months are up, going back again pleading poverty and hoping they then offer the 25% discount for 12 months. I called sky myself recently (before reading this thread!) genuinely wanting to save money I asked if I could downgrade from entertainment and movies to just entertainment. They put me through to another person who kindly offered the full package for 30 quid and even told me the date to call back to downgrade so I don't get stung for the full whack when the 3 month offer ends. Definately worth trying.

i rang sky the other day and have offered me the sky sports package for £16.50 a month,£5 less then im paying for the family pack,so thanks for that,will ring them back in april to try again.:)
