Talking about their costs, have you seen their latest competition? Not in great taste IMHO!

It amazes me how everyone rants about ryanair but still use them!!!!! i could not get to london on the train return for the price of my flights to spain.. if you use your brain and think do i need the extra 5kg luggage that will save the best part of £20, am i bothered if i get on the plan 1st or last the seat is there for you somewhere saving about £8, get yourself a visa electron from coop bank that will save you £10 on a return flight. don't take the travel insurance they offer saving approx £10, go to confused.com and get a cover from as little as £4 for the family. i save almost £50 every return flight i take with ryanair thats per head. my £10 no taxes flights cost me £10 no extras. thats why i don't slag ryanair..........0

To the MSE 'journalist'...
It's great that MSE tries to bring things such as this to our attention, but in this case it is somewhat lacking in facts. The £5 online check-in fee will not be charged for any promotional fare (and this is clearly signed on the website, if you'd bothered to read it), and you know very well this is because it's not allowed to advertise fares without including all compulsory charges. As has been discussed on several threads on this board in the past week or two, it is not currently clear whether this charge will indeed apply to everyone or just those with luggage to check in, so why couldn't you use your authority to get a definitive answer from Ryanair instead of simply posting what is, in effect, old news? Most people here have been hugely impressed with the MSE team over the years, but this is a real lowering of standards.
As for your headline writer, all I'll say is that he/she should apply immediately for a job with The Sun. Sensationalism indeed.0 -
Good post, and I think we will see more promotional fares that will include peak times such as £29 each way.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
