I'm back in the land of the living - I think the stress of everything has finally got to me and shown itself in a horrid migraine. I hate them and although I'm feeling better I still have a bit of a woosy feeling so I'll be taking it easy for a couple of days.
I have a couple of monetary things that are worrying me at the moment. I'm not totally sure how I'm going to deal with them. Need to get my head back in order and come up with some ideas.
I'm moving house next weekend so I'll have the chance to cut bills once we're back in our own home. I'll be looking out the best utility deals - is it sad that I'm quite excited by that!!Sept 09 (3 wks only to 2 Oct) GC 98.94/£200DFW LONG HAULER NO 166DFD June 2014 £68622.60 Debt at LBM£62923.60 11th Spt 09 or 8.3% reduced0 -
I've been AWOL for a few days haven't I! The house move is still on for next weekend, so there's been lots of packing and cleaning going on.
Some good news - one of our loans has finally gone under the £1k level :j It is due to finish in November, so am getting really excited about seeing one of our debts paid off - and also then having an extra £200 to put towards other debts.
I know that I am supposed to be paying extras off all the higher interest debt, but actually the thought of seeing one debt completely disappear is tempting - should I start throwing extra payments at that loan and get it cleared before November - would the boost do me good and spur me on?Sept 09 (3 wks only to 2 Oct) GC 98.94/£200DFW LONG HAULER NO 166DFD June 2014 £68622.60 Debt at LBM£62923.60 11th Spt 09 or 8.3% reduced0 -

sometimes it's the motivation of clearing something which helps as much as hitting the ones with the highest interest rate. when you're on the debt busting mission you need motivation all the way0

Hey everyone - its been a while!
I've moved house now and that has been quite stressful, but it's so good to be back in our house. It is nowhere near finished, but all of the big works, and dirty jobs have been done, so it's now a case of finishing a room at a time as and when money permits. We've set a target of having all rooms decorated and carpeted by Christmas, so fingers crossed.
Since we moved last week, I've not been feeling very well, I think the stress had taken its toll on me. I'm feeling a bit brighter this week, so its back to it.
I've managed to keep my minimum payments on track, but haven't been making any extra payments, I'll be looking at my spreadsheet now to see how I can rectify that.
Also, now that I'm back in the house I can look at the best utility deals out there - although I have to say I find the whole process quite daunting!Sept 09 (3 wks only to 2 Oct) GC 98.94/£200DFW LONG HAULER NO 166DFD June 2014 £68622.60 Debt at LBM£62923.60 11th Spt 09 or 8.3% reduced0 -
The utilities are not too bad just find some old bills to get an idea of KW usage rather than just cost. Duel fuel saves hassle and get extra money off for online tariffs.
Glad to hear the move all done. Im not surprised it took it out of you. Keeping up minimums without overspending is excellent. Overpayments can wait sanity comes first!:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0
