So, one of the major causes of our debt which I haven't felt comfortable talking about before is that we had to move out of our house into a rented house. The work that had to be done is pretty much finished and we move back in in a couple of weeks.

The stress is taking its toll on me now. I am so looking forward to getting in there. It's by no means finished but at least it's habitable.

Have downloaded the full version of Moneydance and I'm starting to get to grips with it. I've put the June transactions on (I know, that's only 8 days!!). I'm thinking of backdating it to the start of the year to give me a better picture and also I can set a budget using those actual figures.

I must get an early night tonight, I haven't been sleeping too well the last few nights - lots of stuff whizzing around my head!

Wow - it'll be great to get back into your own home again. Once you're settled back in that just HAS to be better for your head than living in rented. Good news!

It's a strange day today - I'm not sure I can put into words. I'm feeling quite calm!!??

We are in debt, we don't earn enough cash, I suffer with depression, but somehow I feel quite calm and matter of fact about things. I'm actually dealing with the correspondence that I need to rather than burying it! I'm actually DEALING with things - its been a long time since that happened.

I said that I'd give everything 6 months and then review and I don't yet know how that will turn out - but at least I feel like I'm properly dealing with things.

See, I said I wouldn't be able to express myself very well - maybe I should just stop now!!!!

glad you're having a good day. Funny how taking control of things and opening post and knowing exactly what you owe to whom and what you have in your account makes you feel so much better. Think it's all just a case of control.

It's a strange feeling, especially cos we're still not in a good situation! Things haven't got better, just I've got better

Could this be a sign? I recently joined Quidco - love it. My earnings are totting up nicely. Last night I was having a mooch around on there looking at the different merchants. I saw that one of the bingo sites was offering a £20 cashback deal if you deposited and wagered £5. I thought that seemed like a good deal - I'd still be getting £15 cashback.

I registered, deposited and played and sure enough my Quidco account is showing up the £20. I noticed that the bingo site had also given me £10 to play bingo with, so I thought I may as well play it too - its not like it's real money cos you can't withdraw it - well I won! I won £24!! I withdrew it straight away so it's on its way back to my bank account as we speak.

So, in total for a 5 minute mooch around Quidco I earned £39!!!!:T
Extra bit to pay off my debts :p
