For anyone travelling from the south-east you can fly to Blackpool from Stansted with Ryanair, which would probably be considerably cheaper than train/coach faires too, not to mention much quicker travel time!
They've got an offer on at the moment with flights starting at 19p (plus taxes) to Blackpool

CQ, I've looked at flying within the UK before and there's one big drawback under most circumstances.
By the time you've factored in airport tax, transfers to and from the airport, check-in and boarding times, and lack of flexibility if something goes wrong with the service you're booked on, it tends to work out more costly in either time or money - or sometimes both - than getting the train or coach.
If I lived next door to Stansted Airport it would be a no-brainer though

I'm FReeeeeee any weekend :j Except weekends eitherside of April 5th (DD's birthday) and around July time when all hell lets loose as everybody in the family seems to have a birthday around July!!!! :rotfl:
Other than that I'm good ... plus OH can't complain he's on his 3rd weekend away since we moved in this house nearly 2 years (in June) ago and that doesn't include the long weekend in Switzerland that we all went on! :rolleyes: Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
