For anyone travelling from the south-east you can fly to Blackpool from Stansted with Ryanair, which would probably be considerably cheaper than train/coach faires too, not to mention much quicker travel time! ;)

They've got an offer on at the moment with flights starting at 19p (plus taxes) to Blackpool :D

CQ, I've looked at flying within the UK before and there's one big drawback under most circumstances.

By the time you've factored in airport tax, transfers to and from the airport, check-in and boarding times, and lack of flexibility if something goes wrong with the service you're booked on, it tends to work out more costly in either time or money - or sometimes both - than getting the train or coach.

If I lived next door to Stansted Airport it would be a no-brainer though :D

I can't do the last weekend in May because it's my hen weekend - unless you ladies and gents fancy a day at the races in Newmarket? :D Other than that, my weekends are empty at the mo.
