Avoiding The £60 Sky Broadband Installation Charge

I notice that for new customers the £60 'activation fee' for Sky's Base Pack is waived, yet for a loyal customer that has paid Rupert thousands over the years they wont budge on this charge
I find this highly offensive.
Does anyone here work for Sky or know a way to avoid paying this extortionate fee?

If your a new customer you get it waived within a certain time I think, Or if you take Sky Talk it might be free, Other than that, Nope, no way around it.0

My mum has got into a right mess with hers.
She was on BT and went to Sky, but BT kept charging her for things she wasn't using so she stopped paying them.
They cut her off unsurprisingly and obviously the broadband then stopped working.
She asked me to call Sky who said it was £29 for them to put a line in, and £60 activation for the free broadband.
If she takes the unlimited broadband for £7.50 ish a month more she gets free activation. This is on a 12 month contract. It's then £20 to change from Unlimited to the free version.
The impression I got from her was that you could change after a month and save yourself the £60, it costing you £20 + £7.50 extra that first month.
Has anybody else done this?0
