Abbey Fundscentre closure

I have recently been advised that the Abbey Fundscentre will close and that my stocks and shares ISA (held for three years) needs to be transferred to another fund manager. I have looked at this website's recommendations for Money supermarkets and have checked that the one I wish to use (Chartwell investment) can offer the funds I am already invested in. My question is - is it better to swap immediately before the start of the new ISA year? or should I wait until I have invested 2006/7 money and then swap? If I have any stock changes I want to make should I make them before I move or after?

It makes no difference. Re-registration doesnt take you out of the market or use up any allowances or involve any cost.
Just make sure you dont fill in a transfer request instead of re-registration.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
